But I’d be trusting those hammys in QLD over anywhere else, unless we have a NT game.
You are getting your wish. It's just that it will be happening for Jeka in the BH v Suns game beforehand.

Kosi got a recall to the seniors after kicking a solitary goal against the Bullants. Some pundits thought that such a performance didn’t warrant selection.
Thats because you don't understand or know the underlying reasons.

Oh we all know the reason 🤪

For the record, I wanted him back in for structural reasons and we have looked better with him back and better pressure at ground level from the smalls.

Going to use my 1 post per year on this game. I'm excited for this one but not because I'm expecting a win. I am very keen to see how the younger leaders who are coming up under Sicily go. Last time against Port in the first half they lowered their colours, and to their credit fought back in the second half in what Mitchell described as being player led. I wouldn't be surprised that Sam is using that this week. Players like Moore, Lewis, Day, Newcombe, Hardwick, Impey and to a lesser extent Frost and Amon need to lead from the front in these next few weeks, starting against GC who have had our measure as of late. In a development year I cant help but feel Sicily missing might just have a silver lining where we develop more on-field leadership traits in these young guys.

Anyway Hawks by 34 ;)

For the record there are very good reasons

I admire Frosty’s big heart and the way he always puts his body on the line ……… but he always gives away a couple of goals directly from his decision making/turnovers. He hasn’t fixed this part of his game. Surely the coaches don’t give him a license to go on those kamikaze runs. Maybe I’m being a bit harsh but would DGB’s inexperience be any worse from a team perspective?

It’s a pretty good challenge for the kids to play without Sicily, a win without him would be a pretty big thing in a developing side. Mids will have to step up another level.

If you were going to bring Denver in for any game, it would be this one. He's in good nick in the twos, Suns have a developing forward line, and are coming off a hiding. Next week we have McKay and Curnow, and CJ will be pressing for selection as well. I've been happy to be patient, but I reckon it's time to get him in.

Out: Sicily

your post to like ratio is impressive

I would love to see DGB get a shot, but I just think it's unlikely when we need to be as stable as possible in the backline and bringing in DGB when Sicily is not there would be a big downturn in experience.

I reckon we'll struggle without Sic anyway, GC will be roaring after last week. Would go with DGB from a development perspective but I'll understand if they go with Frost. Wonder if there's an avenue for Ward to find his way back in.

Tight side to squeeze back into.

GC is getting enough bad press over the loss to KARLton to see them come out firing.

Forgotten how we perform after bye rounds.
