That can't be right. Pretty sure it's more like 20% chance of winning the gf.

People are hanging a lot on McStays return. If we remember correctly he was close to useless in the games he played for us. Just so people know AJ has kicked a goal every game he’s played this season bar one. Personally I don’t know what our best forward set up is it’s a big curiosity. I would like to try Cameron out, Cox 1st ruck and have Checkers, AJ and McStay/Freddy as out talls.
I’m not rating Cameron, I’m so over him, not a ruck not a forward, Cox is both.

He's looked serviceable when he's drifted forward while rucking. He'll be a physical presence, with AJ isn't, and he wont break in half, like Freddy will. It's only until McStay is back.
It’s one thing to drift forward and take a sneaky grab while rucking, it’s a completely different ball game actually playing in the forward line. Frampton has already shown he’s not up to the latter.

Revisionism at best. Grundy had a good year while Witts spent the first ten rounds injured. It was Witts who was our starting ruckman in Round 1.
Revisionism, How exactly? In his last two years with us, Witt’s played like 10 games and Grundy played 40 odd. The suns chucking 2 late picks for Witts was a fair reflection of where he was at.

People are underestimating Adelaide. They’ve beaten the lions, almost beat geel down in geel. For some reason people keep us expecting to flog every team. The comps tight. All we can do is bank wins and finish top 4. That’s when the season starts.
Bloody good side are the Crows.
I wouldn't mind Tex in our side.

Spoken like someone who never really paid attention to what Witts was actually doing in the twos that year. He would have walked in to the number 1 ruck role at about 8-9 clubs that year, getting 50-60 hit outs and 15-20 disposals per game.

People seem to be underrating Adelaide here too. At their best, they’re as good as any side in the comp. Have we all forgotten who the only other team to beat Port this year are?

Bit difficult to watch the twos interstate. However, The original premise was calling letting him go another mistake. I disagree with that notion. At the time every club was keeping Grundy over him. We got pick 40 odd for him and something in the 60’s, gross unders. I’m not smashing Witts here but he wasn’t our number 1 ruck.

Frampton wouldn’t have made a blind bit of difference against that Adelaide ball movement. It’s not like they were banging it in long and taking contested marks, they were hitting up their forward 50 targets with low bullets on the chest.

I mean, I ultimately disagree. In such a close game, the difference Frampton makes isn’t just in his ability to play key position.

It’s the flow on effect he has in that he frees up other to play on more suited opponents and/or to be more attacking.

Which has the further flow on of helping our ball movement. Which needed work today

1 and 2 points. I’ve watched a bit of e them this year. Bit of luck, they could have 4 more wins. I’d be surprised if they miss the 8, definitely building nicely.

So you're saying there is no Premiership team this year? Every team have had at least one terrible game (maybe other than us if you don't count the Lions game). We've mostly had bad quarters, not full games, so that's better than most. Port allowed us a 10 goal streak if I remember. Brisbane lost to a bottom 4 team. Melbourne were crushed by the Bombers.

All we need to do is win. Style points are irrelevant. We'll see where teams are at closer to finals.
In 2008 the Cats won the flag - we beat them by 86 points during the season.

The boys looked a little underdone cause the buy I guess.
Howe still needing some match fitness and confidence with the arm, there was a potential run back spoil where he would normally go full throttle but I can understand why he didn’t. Fly will start the build up to the finals with some handy players coming back , Steele, McSatay, JDG. We lacked a little speed pressure in from the forward line until McCreary came on.

The last quarter was a testament to the incredible will to win of this team. The belief, the incredible drive to victory, is extraordinary.
Where the hell was it in the 3rd Qtr then?

Where were your howls of protests when he got traded?
Grundy was streets ahead of him at the time.
If you want to indulge in 20/20 hindsight we’ll be here for a month.

No He wasn't. There was nothing in it early and Witts was a finger injury against the Swans in round 1 off being our number 1 ruck in 2016.
