My Mids are currently: Neale, Bont, McCrae, Parish, Merrett, Oliver, T.Miller and Cunnington...So l am hoping that all stay fit. with my bench as Ralphsmith, Newcombe and Collier-Dawkins. So time will tell. l hope you are wrong ...lol
Mate if you get two injuries in the next 9 weeks you're gonna have premos sitting on the bench with no way to move them on. Keep Walsh for now and forget about Neale. Any potential gain in overall points you get with Neale over Walsh is going to be well and truly cancelled out down the track when you cop injuries or suspensions and are forced to field rookies while everyone else has a full premo team

Walsh/Petracca and Greene?

Ridley, Houston and Short are cheap. Crisp, Doch and Rich all solid options as well.

You can turn Phillips into Danger next week with a 1 up/1 down (or the week after if you're planning on a double downgrade next week)

if you really want Danger, then Danger + Ridley/Short/Houston

Yeah, I think if I do go with Danger this week, then defence is probably the best value for my second trade. I could run with Bollox's suggestion of Blicavs or move Laird into the midfield. Blicav's had caught my eye, just not sure I trust Geelong and their ruck set-up staying as is?

Id go.
robertson to edwards.
gray to zorko/danger.
Bench Duncan for a week.
I dont think you have enough to get 2 premos. this week.
Your bench is really good you can afford to put one of your rookies on field.

can you just go Gray > Danger this week - use Jordon as cover for Duncan

following week up and down Jordon & Duncan to best SP MID and might leave you enough for Flynn > Grundy the week after that

I'm liking these ideas, to generate a bit more cash for sure. Am I better off waiting on Danger, and grabbing a mid premo this week? Danger drops $20k with a 100 or so. Only downside is my better cover is Jordon on the mid line, so perhaps that influences the decision more?

Going off what you wanted, something a tad cheaper from left field to consider. Might help with the Grundy pick up soon.
Duncan > Blicavs
He's flying under the radar a bit and cruising. As long as he's rucking around the ground he scores damn well, and has that extremely handy def/mid DPP.
Nice POD.
If he tons up again this week the crowd will suddenly discover him.
Just another worth considering.
Unlucky with the injuries. Bugga.

I have looked at Blicavs, but as I said above I'm just not sure I trust C Scott and his ruck set up. Great suggestion though and would certainly be a POD, which is why I went with Duncan and Robbie.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, plenty to consider!

Anyone know if this bloke has JS?
Shuey played 2s i see on the weekend.
He might make it if only Shuey comes back. But if Shuey and Tim Kelly are back this week, he probably drops out.

Not an Eagles supporter though so they might know more/might be able to point out other fringe players who could get dropped in order to get their gun mids back in while still keeping Luke in the team.

OK, after a bit of playing around I can do this:

Next week I can go Gray to Danger for $43k, and will have $188k left for my Flynn to Grundy trade.

Means I play Laird in midfield, and CCJ on field this week. Hopefully after that I can loop T Phillips and CCJ.

Happy enough with defence and mids (Cripps aside!), and gives me the Bianco/Laird M/D link. Forwards will just have to do, for now!

Leaves me with 4 trades left.

Any midfielder you would take instead of T Stewart for around that $560-$580k mark? Walsh maybe?

He looked like Shuey in the 4th quarter against the Tigers, the way he played, absolute jet. Was one of the reasons they won that match.

I would say he gets a solid run at it, even with Telly and Shuey in. Might get less CBA's, but he's shown more than a lot of their fringe players. Will play this week 10000000%, beyond that it's just form dependant, as with all rookies.

You thought they'd do a great job and be extra points for the taking this week.
But all you got was a quick slap of dencorub on the nads.

Rnd 14 Trade In Flog of the Week

5. Bailey Dale
4. Tom Hawkins
3. Kyle Langford
2. Lol Jones
1. Nuke

I really regret my Waterman > Newcome trade in as I didn't even need the 100k cash to fund my other trades. It was purely for the extra points as he'd be my 18th man and I thought he would be good for 60+. I ended up having a pretty good round (1914) so his 24 points didn't made much difference. I'll probably never have to start him on-field again either. Pointless trade. I could have done LJones >Briggs or Luke Edwards this week instead for the same profit and better serve my teams needs.

Yepp. I think we all saw him 60+.
Awesome score btw :thumbsu:. Killed what will go down as a truly memorable and royally shit round.

"You may never have to start him again" ? That could be irrelevant coz he may never play again :p

I had LoL Jones and Nuke to make up 17. Didnt realise just how many had the same till it was over.

At least i didnt get sucked into that Langford fella though :p He's now favorite for the 2021 Wingard Award.

p.s. Watch how Heeney now goes 135 this week after the late calls of Heeney > Langford

If I could have afforded him I would have been very tempted to trade in Dale, but he was too expensive. Bullet dodged.
Of course I traded in Gray instead so I may have missed a flesh wound from that bullet but the ricochet got me right between the eyes.

Paying 500k for any fwd this year has been pain.

I think this trade makes the most sense although annoying to trade Highmore as he might actually generate more $. Then its wait a couple more weeks for Danger for F6.

Got way too drunk Saturday afternoon and forgot to do my planned trades of Short & Poulter to Briggs and Jelly. Was left with having to bring in Merrett (8 less points and I captained him and Lynch (69 points less than Briggs). At least I traded Heeney for Hall and not Dale or Hawkins

Dropped 400 odd spots to 1,000 now after scoring 1,445 from 14 players

Not directly to your point, but hopefully he sticks around a bit longer (but it begs the question how many would be able to cash him in if he holds on, and how long he'll hold on for):

Unlucky. Yeah Gray was clicking into some solid form and looking a damn good POD.
Duncan is on many a "never again" list coz this has happened all too frequently.
I think i saw someone in here that copped both. 1st qtr injuries too...just to rub salt in the wound.

I feel like any player you bring in now will be on your bench for the rest of the year. Unless some random rookie goes to 350k.

only 2 coaches in the top 5000 have all 3 of Gray, Duncan, L Jones - Changa10 might be one of them
