Started off like the Tigers game and absolutely controlled it for 3 and a half quarters.

That meant half way through the 3rd in the game today, we’d gone 7 and a half quarters only conceding three goals. That’s pretty damn good going.

Then we either got tired /complacent or the Pies changed something up that started unlocking our defense. Either way, it’s a warning to our team: take your focus off what you are doing for even a second and you get found out at this level.

Lions game comes at a good time for us. A great test. I’m not as pessimistic as many on here, I think we’ve played physically bruising and dominant footy for the last 2 weeks that will stand us in good stead against the better teams in the comp and in finals (whenever we get there with this group).

I’m saying it’s that sort of mindset that the players probably have and probably part of the reason we’ve played crap in games this year. Drinking our own bath water before we’ve accomplished anything.

Ok, weird you quoted my post to make your point about players drinking their own bathwater though, as my comments have absolutely nothing to do with the players or their mindset.

It was a fadeout, just say that. Quoting me because I posted 30mins early and then somehow finding a link between that and the players is silly...we didn't show up in the 4th quarter...that doesn't mean up by 50 at 3 quarter time there would be people who thought we had the game won...and we did.
