Get the opposition to walk through a time machine befoee the game back to a time when they only ran 5kms in an entire game?

Dunstall would carry the drinks in the modern game.

How do you know that they haven't? Just because Fages didn't have a giant crack at all the players during his postgame presser doesn't mean that they haven't been harsh in review meetings. We have absolutely no clue.

I'd personally say purely from a management perspective that I wouldn't want to be led by someone who publicly hangs you out to dry just to satisfy someone else. You and others (myself included) were no doubt steaming mad at the players last week, but that doesn't make it a good idea for Fages to 'tear shreds' off the players in the postgame. That seems far more appropriate for direct feedback during the week with the players.

Agree, i dont have a clue about the inner workings to be honest. But from external view, Coach looks like more of a calming influence than someone putting the blowtorch on players.

May be I like Fagan a lot and I see him as more of a nurturing character than someone giving it out to players, which is the message I think they need to hear right now. Can't wait to see how tonight unfolds, fingers crossed.

Thursday night games are fine as long as it's not my team that's playing.

Tonight's game feels like the most important of the year to me . Win and we live in hope that maybe we're good enough to go deep . Lose against a weakened Bulldogs side and we start looking at our list We're just about at full strength on our home deck so no excuses tonight.

Fagan on the pre-match on Fox. Fagan making noise about the ‘learnings’ against Melbourne - apparently our players were thinking and not doing against Melbourne word salad. This was better - “we hated that performance last week.”

Fox calling McStay a ‘certainty’ to leave. I am going to love the Collingwood supporters melting when they realise what they have paid for.

Lions need to win this and win it well. We need to build some momentum. I think we can do it!

Ralph also very confident the compo would be a first rounder, which I assume would be band 2. Wouldn't think there would be a great deal of difference between band 1 and band 3 considering where we're likely to finish this year but those few extra places potentially valuable in helping us get Ashcroft into the club along with something else.

Yeah crowd looks pretty woeful here. You’d think the AFL will have to do something about this next year although I’m not sure they’re keen to scrap Thursday nights given I assume it would rate well on TV.
