Mentioned this in the gameday thread, but watch Tunstill's efforts here as a second game player at the end of the third quarter, playing a rotation short (video is 1 min long).

Obviously his tank has a way to go, but you can't deny the effort. Second for us in sprints (19; Hipwood 20), equal first for the game with repeat sprints (5), and third highest (excluding Zorko) in average speed in defense.

Horrible first 40 minutes.

Emphatic last 80 minutes.

Proud of the group.

Prior MUST stay in from now on, tough, good size, skilful. Robbos replacement.

Andrews, Kiddie, Charlie, Berry, Hugh great.

McStay must be gone, completely checked out.

Rayner needs to defend.

Mids need to defend.

Tunstill holds he spot.

Much as I love Dan Rich, our backline functioned better after he went off.

Much more spark, run and spontaneity.

Kiddy and Ah Chee seemed to cover most of the bases. The last ditch scrambling denied the Dogs many rimes..

Prior just must stay in the side.

He's a footballer through and through and runs hard ALL the time. Has a hint of the mongrel in him too. Love it

McStay seems unsettled didn't really do anything this game might be good to drop him for a game next week to regain some focus.

If we keep playing him Collingwood won’t want him.

Andrews was looking good, but gotta give credit for Adams playing on Naughton for him. Allowed Andrews to do what he did. Naughton is basically a freak, I think Adams did a pretty good job (other than the marks on the goal line, but that should have been better by the whole defence there)

What's the record for most goal assists in a game? Charlie had 5 tonight.
Brownie had something like a dozen back in the day and the commentators were raving about the "world record".

Fagan’s learnings? Prior and Ah Chee have to be in the side every game for the rest of the year. With Zorko and most likely Rich out, time to reward Mathieson and Lester? McStay out for Fort. Time to put our form players in the side and stick with them. We can’t paper over the cracks with one good win against a wounded opponent on our home ground. Prior and Berry showed the way in terms of grunt and effort. We need more of it.

This…. This is exactly why Beast isn’t getting a game! He doesn’t make the 2nd and 3rd efforts! I was really impressed by Tunstill tonight!

With the emergence of Coleman I wonder if we try Rich a bit further up the ground. I think we are better with Coleman’s speed coming out of defence. Rich can be our I50 passer

Rich is anchored to the that HBF spot. He and his little belly would blow multiple pistons in the midfield.

It didn't happen at the selection table but there were big changes through the middle.of the ground this week. We were clearly going to roll Zorko / Neale / Clugga as the prime group this week until Zorko went down and we moved Berry inside a bit. Lyons didn't get anywhere near the center clearances until towards the end of the game.

The Dogs were still able to win the midfield game I thought but it was good to see some different looks in there. Lets hope they keep shuffling and find a better combination.

It still felt to me watching that the mids could lift their intensity a bit, but having Prior back what a massive difference he made. Must hold his spot for next week. I also though the small forwards were much better in McCarthy / Cameron / Bailey, working much harder up the ground to help out in defence rather then trying to hold space back up the ground.

Its hard to not be happy with a big win against quality opposition but we still have a bit of work to get in prime form for the finals. Hopefully this is the first game in building to that.

Probably won’t receive many votes but Answerth did some tough things tonight.
Prior very good 1v1.
Coleman’s leg is equal parts majestic and deadly.
Answerth had some good moments dropping back in the hole, but he was also completely gassed within the first 10 minutes of the game and was where the zone broke down as the bulldogs repeatedly transitioned from kickout to goal in the first quarter.

Personally I would prefer Ah Chee in his role.

Tunstill was good in the first half, but he ran out of petrol. To be expected. Four touches in the third quarter, didn’t touch it in the last. You can see why he was drafted - he’s very quick and based on tonight, quite brave too. His goal was textbook. Beautiful kicking action.
