Give Dayne Zorko another week, can not be too careful with old man calfitis.

No changes and name Ah Chee, Madden, Answerth or Tunstill as the sub.

Ah Chee for mine, man has the versatility to fill any hole in a team up to and probably including ruckman

So not one week at a time, you already focused on the Eagles. Hope your players feel that way lol.
JR on 360 tonight seemed very focused on the upcoming assignment at the GABBA. I believe this is a real danger game we don't like the Richmond manic go forward style of play, and a six day turn around. That said, not too many teams have won after the bye. I believe the Lions are a better team than last year, as we have some talented youth with pace in the team, and have Dunkley who takes some opposition pressure off Neal.

The big decision for Chris Fagan revolves around the availability of former skipper Dayne Zorko, who has missed the past three matches with a calf injury. If Zorko is named, the pressure likely falls on either youngster Kai Lohmann or Deven Robertson to keep their spots. Darcy Fort could move from the sub role into the 22 if the Lions want to return to a three-pronged tall forward set-up against Richmond, while Callum Ah Chee and Noah Answerth continue to keep the pressure on with excellent form in the VFL. - Michael Whiting

That’s about it in a nutshell. Four possibilities:

Assuming Zorko still isn’t right, we could be looking at “NO CHANGE”
Alternatively, in order to stretch the Richmond defence and give ourselves a proper second ruckman.
In: Fort
Out: Lohmann
Sub: Ah Chee

If Zorko is good to go and we still want the third tall.
In: Zorko, Fort
Out: Lohmann Fletcher
Sub: Ah Chee

If Fagan decides to go conservative.
In: Zorko
Out: Lohmann
Sub: Possibly Fort again

How is the ARC Royal Commission coming along?

I wouldn't be going with the 2 genuine rucks setup this week, the Tigers like to play a chaos fast ball movement style, if they are on we will need all the run and pace we can get out there tomorrow night.

No changes unless Zorko is ready to go... :think:we have to omit someone, if so Lohmann out.

Don't win after the bye is a potential complacency trap. Hope we don't get caught.

Zorko confirmed to be out.

Richmond first game back really isn't ideal for someone who hasn't played for a bit and with his injury history. Assume the plan is to ease him in via WCE.

OK so with Zorko not getting up, we should go one of three ways:

Option 1.
No Change

Option 2.
In: Fort
Out: Lohmann
Sub: Ah Chee, Lohmann or Lyons

Option 3.
In: Lyons or Ah Chee
Out: Lohmann
Sub: Fort

Amongst all this the question remains, where do we need to improve, midfield or forward line. I think Fagan should go with Option 2 as Richmond has a very strong defence and we need to try to stretch it. Option 2 gives us three talls in the forward line, plus Fort in the ruck.

I would go with option number 1, leave Fort as the sub and in the last quarter or when they decide to make the change, unlike last week I would camp Oscar in the goal square and Fort to do the majority of the ruck in the last.
Hopefully we can match their run early with the smaller line up.

That is a valid choice and one Fagan could make. The benefit of that is it gives Lohmann an extra game and makes us faster.

I think pace is more important against Richmond than the extra tall forward. I also think the 2 tall setup makes us lower the eyes more rather than just blasting it in to 50.
And also the forward half defensive pressure is amped up which we will need on Thursday night.
