Some of the younger guys seem a bit tired and looked liked they could do with a full game at Boxhill.

It would not surprise me to see MacKenzie and Butler go out managed, along with kosi and Bramble.

In: Ward, Stephens, DGB and Maginness.

Scrimshaw has his strengths but one of my frustrations is that I see his playing style as often killing momentum. This is in stark contrast to the rest of the defenders and I think Sam's preferred playing style.

He often stops, takes too long to asess, slows down play. He can be a good user but is nothing like Sic in terms of ability or decision making.

I'd like to see DGB come in and play with Frost and Blanck. Let's see what he can bring and if he has improved. It does make me a little nervous but I don't think Scrim has set the world on fire.

Gah, I just looked at the Box Hill score from the weekend to see who did what. Man, the Gold Coast feasted on some grilled birdie this weekend. Not a good round for the Hawthorn organisation. The boys would have watched Box Hill get pumped and then walked out for a beating of their own. No one would have been having any fun on that flight back home.

I don't know who will go out or in. Can't guess even. Ward and Long are looking ripe for tilt at the top team. The Chad isn't. Given our midfield was pushed around by GCS so badly and further that Carlton has a much stronger mid, I think we'll need to reinforce the stoppage stocks. The forwards will need to stay as they are and Meek will drop for... DGB? I don't think he's got it but who else do we have back there?

OUT: Meek, McKenzie
IN: Ward/Long, DGB

I haven't listened to Sammy yet. Maybe he gives some clues.

I’d have MacKenzie as a sub, has been doing well when brought on later in the game when the pace has slowed.

Does Chad play? All jokes aside.
I don’t think we can carry both Wingard and Bruest in the same forward line anymore (given they both are both unable of applying any defensive pressure).

I think his only path back to the seniors now would be either in the middle (doubtful given our backlog of mids) or as a replacement for Bruest if he gets injured or needs a rest (possible).

Not sure whether the weather will decide who plays.
Who reigns may depend on the rains.
Certain roles will determine how the team rolls.
The G is a site, for us to give a great sight.
Will have a peek to see which players peak.

Enuff of that carp.

Hawks by 15.

Meek was cleared earlier.

Hawthorn ruckman Lloyd Meek has no case to answer for his bump on Darcy Macpherson late in the first quarter of the Hawks' loss to the Suns.

If Meek doesn’t go at the tribunal (which I don’t think he will), I’d be sending Noodle back to the magoos And bring in Long. Ins: Ward, Long; Outs: Noodle, Bramble. Long to chop out in the ruck when Meeks needs a spell. If Meeks goes, Long still comes in for the same reason. Either way we need to reassess the two specialist ruck selection week after week. It’s depriving us of an extra midfielder.

Meek is free to play.

In - ward , cj
Out - scrim , McKenzie he needs to dominate in the midfield for boxhill and work on his defensive side.

Bramble sub

Day playing the sicily role and ward straight into the middle.
Agree with McKenzie, I noticed a couple of occasions yesterday where he could of laid some tackles if only he showed a bit more desperation. Hopefully he was just having an off day.
