That is one of the worst quarters I've seen us play in a long time and we're ahead.

Our forwards and mids aren't accountable, a few players have shirked contests and our defence are standing still guarding grass while Sydney keep finding loose men.

If not for Sydney's inaccuracy and a few turnovers that had a couple of our unaccountable forwards loose out the back, we'd be 7 goals down.

True, but it's not being helped by our defenders falling off their opponents by 15m.

Been part of it for sure, but not close to the same extent.
Gotta consider the defenders point of view too, you are 1 of 2 defenders down back, you have your direct opponent next to you whose looking to create a lead plus 5 swans streaming forward to receive chips into space, who do you decide to defend?
Defend your direct opponent and those flanks/wings get easy marks inside 50, close space to those same players and you leave your opponent free over the back.
Hence why defensive accountability and folding back is vital, that and pressure around the ball.
Regardless, I think sagging back has been the biggest issue across the ground in that quarter.

Transition the middle has been good but our defensive pressure is non-existent. You could probably say the same about Sydney too though. The SCG being a chode ground often leads to this sort of footy.

This is reminiscent of the Port game. We're lucky to be in front here, and Sydney looking dynamic as hell.

Smith needs to be subbed now. Awful last week and this week.

Sydney a completely different team at home, like the Bears.

Except the cats played well in that first quarter against port

Whoever suggested through the week that Smith needs a spell might have been right.
Improvement needed.
Horse trying to outsmart us with the short game but our coaches look like they're about to pull a few moves.

THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS

So sick of our lazy defenders being given a free pass. We play a spare! Stand in dangerous space FFS!
Which ones the spare tonight - if none are really manning up, hard to know who's the available spare
