Just so ****ing sick of it.

We actually played well but literally everything that could go wrong did. Injuries, umpires, Melbourne kicking goals out of their ass, hitting the post like 4 times and not being able to finish.

Edit I forgot the Owens bounce. My god wtf was that.

On the plus side we may have actually found our game. Aside from the poor finishing that's how Ross wants us to play

Get Billings and Jones back... lose Ross, King, Cordy...

all that nicksplat GIF
Too early to rush Hayes in too... Campbell or Heath a chance?

Brad Johnson is such a wet blanket. Derm pumping up Marshall saying he beat Grundy and Max... BJ looks like he doesn't agree and says "he did well" and they move on.

So close, lacking that final kick class. The posters, Billings right foot snap (seemed a little unnatural and it's his first game back, so fair enough), Mitch Owens kick in the last getting right to the goal line and bouncing straight up in the air, Pou kicking into the man on the mark from 20 out directly in front, a lot of little things that add up but it was our best effort and pressure game in yonks. And to see Steele get back to his best means there's hope for this season still going forward. All of this with 3 injuries in the game affecting our structure and leaving us 2 downs on the bench. Nas growing every week.

All in all it's the least disappointing loss I've felt in ages, there's a lot to like in the method and gameplay we saw tonight.

The good thing is that those kids that lack composure aren't going to always be that way. Caminiti was huge, he's a massive competitor. He's still as raw as sushi but in a few years he's going to be a frightening prospect.

Plenty to like. Thought all the kids stood up. NWM in particular was great, but Owens, Byrnes, Windhager, Phillipou and Caminiti all stood up tonight.

Still the same problems going forward. I feel like ever week who ever we play they are talking about one of their players breaking the record for most intercept marks.

Marshall was unreal tonight and showed how important he is.

Our midfield looks a lot better when Jack Steele is in form, let's hope that's a sign to come.

We have 6 winnable games ahead of us with all sides being outside the 8. There's no excuse for not playing finals
The injuries are going to bite us.

All the WB ex players love to hate the saints. PTSD for all those finals we knocked them out of.

That effort is the non negotiable.
The injuries suck.

But * me could we perhaps actually have a plan of attack so that this s**t doesn't happen????

King getting injured in the first minute of the game might have had something to do with that.

5th will be the best we can do now. Effort like tonight will sure up finals not a doubt in my mind. Played fine without King too although not surprised.

4 wins from here and we're through. Play like that and we'll get there.

Anyone still want to trade Marshall?

Thought that was the best we have looked since the first month of the season. Just didn't take our chances.

We really need to figure out our entries inside 50 and why defenders keep having career games against us.

Glad to have Billings and Jones back in the team. Thought they added a bit.

Would be interested to hear Ross asked about the continued dominance of oppo best/intercept defender against us. It’s killing us
It that they even need to try too hard when we’re picking them out. We need to get back to our colours ffs.
