Met Sam’s parents at the Fevola 99 game in 2008
Asked his dad
I was told that Sam was a natural left footer and that his father made him use both feet before he started school
By the time he played junior footy Sam didn’t know what his natural kicking foot was
But make no mistake Sam is one who got the most out of whatever talent he had
And that was about desire, application and effort

This is also the difference between high end draft picks and later ones. Usually not the amount of talent they have but also how ready they are and how good they already are. How far progressed.

It’s why key position players seem to go lower despite being vital parts of teams, because they’re clearly talented. Just take more time usually.
You are making my point for me Mitchell was not ELITE when he started

Read it again, yes he wasn’t BUT.

He was later picked and overlooked because of how good he was at the time not his talent or ceiling, which again was the point I made to start with which has gone off the rails sideways.

Again. No point arguing but you’re incorrect. 🙃
OK so you say you're 17. Brishawk is talking about the start of Mitchell's career which began essentially in 2001. When he blitzed the ground in the 2001 VFL premiership. Brishawk stated that this happened before you were born, you told him he'd put words in your mouth. (responding directly to that statement). I am interested in which part of Mitchell's career started before you were born is incorrect? Because even if you were born 4 years earlier you were a mewling babe when Mitchell started his career.

So pages of arguing nonsense to finally agree with 4P, albeit with a caveat. 🤦‍♂️

Mitchell was passed over due to perceptions of his ceiling, not his actual performance. I could give you all the context as to why but I have a feeling I’d be wasting my time..

That’s what I’ve been trying to say. You misunderstood my first point which lead to meaningless back and forth.

I understood you but your conclusions were built on a foundation of false premises and straight up fantasies.
Conclusions? That’s where I think some confusion has come and it’s partially my fault for not making it clearer. My bad, my point didn’t get across till now really. Part of it was also from his prime/latter of his career as another poster has mentioned as it is part of recency bias.

Strapping Young Lad is there a nominal amount we can bribe you to rename Dom’s account to Mewling_Babe?
