Yeah agreed, he's a considerably better ruckman than Cameron. Cameron gets pushed around and out reached a lot.

It's just that after the ruck contest is complete, Mase turns into a bystander where as Cameron can get involved in the ground contest. Grundy is still the best balance of both, will be good to have him back.
Although he is having more impact around the ground (marks, tackles, second efforts etc) than he ever did previously. Granted today was going to be a very difficult game for him to impact.

Sometimes impact in a game is more than just looking at the stat sheet. Clearly Fly backs him in and Coxy is playing with confidence he probably never had previously.

Amazing to win again against all the odds, and three cheating umpires to boot. We’re just like the little engine that could,we just keep chugging away no matter what.😊

I’m so glad we won it for Pendles today. What an absolute champion he has been for the club.He deserves every accolade he gets.

And what can you say about Nick Daicos.A freak of nature who just seems to be getting better with each game.Honestly it’s worth the price of admission to watch him play every week,😊😊

Strongly disagree with this. Actually the opposite IMHO.

Really enjoyed seeing Carmichael and Ash play good games here.

N Daicos keeps finding new levels to amaze me.

Bianco really delivered, that was his best game for mine.

Pretty much the whole team did their jobs, which was required to overcome the extra 3 men the Crows had on the field. Todays umpires are all ponies.

Dear Collingwood,

I'd like to point out my request from last week
...
I expect better next week.
yours in hope

You are a really funny nag.

Team effort really. Jamie Elliott worked hard all day, Macreery amazing the way he can make their possessions an opportunity & what a fleet of young talent we have. These close wins, well "are you entertained" & after pretty much a decade of shite I love it. I was expecting a big game from Cox, disappointed up to 3/4 time but he proved again his potential and talent as a ruckman.

Ricciuto, Underwood and Huddo had nothing good to say
They were crying on the inside, like the dogs calling last week. Just on that, I knew Ricciuto and Huddo were on the call today, not sure Underwood was there. I could be wrong though, I had all this grating interference coming through my headphones (kind of like metal on metal, or two cats fighting).

See I was the opposite RE: Cox. The minute I saw that weather I knew it was going to be a tough one for him. Still battled hard and did well.

Bucks was a class act with comments today

Spoke with love and admiration of Pendles - noted how Pendles was more laconic and confident as a player than him

Bucks was also funny when he asked Huddo about his playing career

Didn't hear the Dark Master last night, but Malty reportedly was also very complimentary about Bucks and Pendles

Group Hugs xxox

Yeah I take the point re weather. I'm not saying he had a bad one though, just think the pressure is on him to produce another stand out performance before Grundy comes back.
Fly has already said that Grundy has been training with the forwards - that's not to say that his ruck work is finished - but it does flag a change in role.

No longer an 80% game time ruckman.

On here to have a read of all the people who wrote off Bianco (without probably watching him in the VFL). Funny when a kid gets an opportunity to play in his preferred position he goes ok…..
Bit to work with, wouldnt write him off as an afl footballer just yet.

I was one of them. Remarked in the game day thread I might have got it wrong.

Just give Nick his Rising Star award & AA jacket now.
Good game from Carmichael - 24 disposals, 8 tackles, 6 clearances and a goal.
Good game from Bianco too. He was Chargers captain as a junior - he might be one of those players who take a while to get going.

Given the injuries and playing in enemy territory, not to mention the fickle nature of this season and one of our players being crucified in the name of the 'spirit' of the game (translation the 'look' of the game despite being massive gambling pushing hypocrites) that was a very tasty win
