Squiggle likes our comparative team adjustements and now has us as the win...

Melbourne
Melbourne 73 - 78 Brisbane Lions
Brisbane Lions

M.C.G. (VIC)
HGA:
Melbourne
+7.9 pts
Ins/Outs:
Brisbane Lions
+6.8 pts

The system always seems smarter and more robust when it is barracking for us ;)

Lions supporters are the smartest, squiggle just trying to match our level of cool.

I don't think he'll play every game even if his form is good (0 chance he travels to Perth), but we need to see him the next 2 weeks. If he can contribute strongly then its worth persisting with him through finals, if not then hopefully we go back to the 2-tall structure.
Assuming he maintains form yeah the Perth trip a perfect ‘managed’ game. Then pre finals bye.

Zorko would be in the same boat but probably needs to play some matches.

The betting market also likes our ins. We've been slowly coming in all week after starting at around $2.30 underdogs. Now virtually evens after a spike earlier tonight. In fact it looks like we've just gone slight favourites 😳

For those who like omens, this is very similar to how the odds behaved in the lead up to the 2001 Grand Final.

I'm another disappointed by Dev axing - similalry, I also think Ah Chee would offer us way more than what Flecther will against Melbourne's hard running and bodied mids. I hope I'm completely wrong, but I'll be very surprised if Jaspa gives us much tomorrow nite.
Could be worse. Fagan could have pulled a “James Tunstill First Career Game v Melbourne at the MCG” style brain fart. As I said earlier, Dev Robertson is very unlucky, as is Ah Chee.

If there was a time to play at least one specialist winger it is against this Melbourne side at the MCG. Happy that Fletcher was picked. Not a fan of shoehorning utilities onto both wings.

Great experience for the kid which could come in handy later in the season.
And when he is playing on the wing which means he will be predominately playing on Lachie Hunter, hope he understands that Lachie Hunter drops his knees everytime he gets tackled so please ensure you go low on your tackles please Jaspa.

For sure the most of all time piece of advice!
Spare me from this dribble.

i really like fletchers defensive work on the wing, covers lots of ground to help out our team defence. see him engage in 1v1's with his opponent a couple of times last few weeks and his determination to win those contests is great as well, think he could go a long way to stifling hunter who is imo a criminally underrated wing this year with all the talk surrounding jaicos and martin.

The club is like the Kremlin on injury updates.
They all are these days, it's a joke. Geelong spent the whole season not even giving week estimates or updates until the media picked up on it.
