No, he just hasn't had the same access to talent as the teams who have finished below us. The skill level of the higher picks is always going to be better, it's inevitable. He's done well to help us hold on as long as we have.

Can only happen if we repeatedly finish down the bottom. That might happen now. It was worth a trial getting some experienced players to keep us going, it might not have worked, so we do what Lions , Demons, and many other teams do.

You know what Scott's problem is? He's too much of a barracker. He thinks Geelong can do no wrong and he's got the players thinking the same. It leads to complacency, lazyness, and everyone losing their heads at the first sign of adversity.

As weird as he was, Bomber Thompson was a realist and could be objective about things, and the result was the unstoppable juggernaut that could force a win even on days when things weren't going right. Need someone more like that.
