That's a f#%%# tall forward line. Jezza, the General, Sunshine and a rotating Lobb & Sauce.

(What the hell is Lobb's nickname anyway?)

No way that can match up on all of them.

My nickname for lobb has always been lobbster

Bit obvious though, isn't it - you need to go a step further - call him Shellfish, or Pincers, or Crusty (from crustacean), or Bisque or Mornay.

I like Crusty.

Just looked up his pocket profile where his nickname is listed as Lobby which is woefully inadequate. Maybe we need a thread, with added poll, to see what we can come up with.

I don't really like the nickname Sunshine either.

Cam McCarthy should be Camikaze

It's the way he plays too

Hi everyone,

I just moved to the Penrith area and I'm heading to my first GWS game on Sunday (the 7yo son's already a Giants nut and sings me the GWS song 20 times a day). What's the parking like at the ground? or would I be better off catching a train in? What's the best place to sit at the ground?

Any advice will be gratefully received. Thanks.

Better to catch the train with the netball world cup on.
Catch it to lidcombe then take the loop to olympic park.

Good thing about our ground is you get a great view anywhere.
Atmosphere wise probably near the supporter group behind the goals.

There is plenty of parking around the precinct if that is your preferred option. It would take a number of big events to exhaust parking there. For the game, parking is about $20. It just the traffic around the venue you have to plan for before and after the game.

Great to hear your son so hooked on the Giants so quickly. Is that your influence, or something else? I see you are a Lions man.

Thanks for the advice. It was a little bit my influence. I'll probably get a Giants membership next year, so at the very least the GWS will be a very close 2nd favourite team for me, but if he gets to see his favourite team play every second week or so, he gets keener on AFL and I'll always have someone to go to the footy with. Win-win. ;)
