No argument there. Just thought Petracca was underused in the guts, was wondering why. Maybe it was just me. Thought his midfield time was low.
thought this was stated to be an intentional plan from melbourne coming into the season, rotating more through their midfield so their core group do not get so tired and banged up towards the back end like they did last year

Had 21 centre bounce attendances, only second to Oliver. Understand why you felt that way though, he really wasn't that effective.
Mostly Oliver got shutdown and blocked out by either Berry / Dunkley, which meant there was no one to give it to Petracca.

They probably also have a bit of work to integrate Grundy into that midfield, who hasn't looked like the same player he was before he got that 7 year deal.

Grundy and Petracca for whatever reason are currently but shadows of the players that they were not 2 or 3 years ago.

I haven't got any insight as to why other than they've both suffered injuries and wear and tear in the meantime but it's surely a lesson in getting overwrapt in any player from a LT club perspective.

I still believe Petracca will get back near what he was at some point. Grundy ,he's a good solid ruckman which was probably all he ever was.

Very happy with our bounce back on Friday night. Rayner down back looks pretty good and Daniher really impacted the game which was nice to see. A little disappointed with that last quarter but it would of been hard to get motivated for it after the power outage. Not to back it up away on Thursday night.

Are we to assume Melbourne has a Specialist Restart Coach?

Both teams were in the same situation except Melbourne got to warm up on the field for 2 minutes

Few seem to agree that it was the massive deal you obv think it was…exactly what sort of a reaction are you looking for?

The best thing about Rayner in backline is he looks so confident with ball in hand. He is just too strong to tackle for the small forwards and can fend off or bullock his way through with lot more power. Might get it wrong from time to time but he is a positive to our backline and hope we persist with this experiment.

But we knew they would do that. We had a chance to withstand the challenge but almost all of our players left the work to their teammates

the situation went against us but offered a unique challenge that I hope the club regrets putting that level of effort into
Yeah let’s not worry about the first 3 1/2 quarter effort that had as 40 points up one one the premiership favourites. Let’s concentrate on the last 10 minutes. Your turning everything into a negative is f&n tiresome.

The only time he lets himself down from what I see is when he man gets a bit far away and he can't impact the contest. I feel he makes up for it by doing the things you have mentioned though.

I forgot Lachie hunter plays for the demons and didn’t recognise him with the shaved head. He looks like Simon goodwins love child with the shaved head.

Does anyone know where we might find Fagan's post-match presser video? I gather from some prior comments that he did do one, but it is not posted in the Match Centre where all other pressers are?

I understand Fagan had some mild complaints about the AFL's handling of the Lights-Out issue - surely the AFL wouldn't be so petty as to censor it??

Technical issue with the video recording - if you are signed up to the roar deal patreon Mike Whiting posted his audio recording of it.

Interesting that there was a media lovefest about Oliver's game but the coaches only gave him 1 vote which I agree with even though he got big stats he was largely ineffectual until the after lights time on period.

I had that problem watching Dogs defense last round. Josh Bruce and Liam Jones - 18 and 19. shaved head with beard and moustache. Parked right next to each other. Yikes.

And then I go googling for them and even google decides to mess with me.

I would have to guess that 1 vote is based solely on the last 12 mins of the game though.

Interesting breakdown of the votes IMO.

Both coaches gave 5 votes to Zorko, 4 to Ashcroft, 3 to Andrews. Then they saw the game very differently. I don't hate the 2 votes for Lever, if it wasn't for him we would have been further ahead before the blackout IMO.
