There's a lot of confidence in how people think this game will go.

I have no idea how it will go.

All I can say with any confidence is that this game will be ****ing boring

Plenty of entertainment to be had in the crowd.

I actually think last year’s corresponding game was a pretty good one.

I don’t know who Karl Worner is - but he is the ultimate whipping boy on the Freo board.

He will therefore be BoG against us.

Didn't he right Rocky in the 4th Rocky Movie?

Three talls might be needed in our team at present. Lost in all the discussion as to our forward structure is the fact that our entries have been steaming hot garbage, so we run the risk of being dominated in the air, while at ground level, we're a pretty average 11th in the comp for tackles inside 50.

So we've gotta give one area a boost, and there's more options to do so in the air than at ground level.

If I have one complaint re selection it's that we haven't yet entertained the idea of Ladhams as the main ruck. I just don't think he's that bad??

Even fully fit we need to manage Grundy. This is the chance to actually see if they both work together anyway

The best way to do that would be to give Grundy a week off managed, doing a training block like we did with Franklin. Not in 2s. Bad idea.

I'm not convinced they'll work together. Neither have shown enough as forwards (IMO) to suggest we'd be able to ruck one and rest the other forward and vice versa.

I think only one can ruck, and I kinda lean towards preferring Ladhams at this point, for the simple fact he doesn't move like he's 110 years old.

Yeah Grundy's 31 & played 200 games. He doesn't need match practice in the reserves. He just needs to not be run into the ground week on week.

I think weeks off during the year for Grundy works best too. I also agree most likely they aren’t good enough forward, but if there’s ever a time to try it one more time, maybe it’s now

I'd be happy to give Buller a run. 23 yr old 199cm KF who actually shows forward craft and a marking ability in the 2's. I think you have to have a look at what that looks like at Senior Level at some point, might be nothing but should atleast look and if not now with all our injuries, when?

I seriously hope we're not considering bringing in McLean & Ladhams both into the side. One or the other I could live with but not both.
In addition to Grundy that's virtually playing 3 rucks. Never seen 3 rucks work, infact last time we tried was 112, but when you consider in addition our KF would be Amartey who is an athlete type not a natural forward...that's 4 talls but none really natural forwards. Recipe for disaster imo, especially with the quality of their Key backs.
Agree with this 100%. Ladhams is a ruck first, forward a distant second. He is no Luke Jackson. Just think back to that Port debacle last year to get an idea about where he stands as an AFL forward. I think he should only play as a solo ruck (like Grundy).
