I can't see Brisbane really winning a premiership in the next 2-5 years there midfield is pretty shit, there backline is alright. They will make top 8 but will not go anywhere. In 5-6 years time Fev, Brown, Power and Black will be retired then stright i see Brisbane going.

Hendo's goals... 2 were from received handballs in front of goal, one was from a free kick (I think, anyway... memory may be fuzzy.) I think Fev had to work much harder for his. You can't really 'cancel out' players like that, IMO. Fev also worked as a wonderful decoy for Brown...and... Regardless of whether Fev put in a blinder (which he did not), it's fair to say stopping Fev & Brown was still pivotal to the outcome.

Who gives a flying **** where Hendo's goals come from ..he kicked 3 ..the same as Fev, END of story ..or are you just trying to act like a complete twat ..or do you actually think 3 Fev goals are worth more than 3 Hendo goals ?

End result is that if we kicked straight we won the game ..now crawl back into your hole .

Paulige is the same arrogant ******** who came on here pre-season and said he can't understand why any Carlton supporters would even think they're a chance for this game. Nice one tool, a few more straight kicks and we would've taken the game without our best defender. Never seen such a pathetic midfield in my life.

Just waiting for someone to say we should've drafted Maguire :p
I knew there would be someone silly enough to say it some time. I didn't think there would be a whole thread about it and didn't ever think anybody, even a moron like Paulige, would suggest he was better than Thornton.

Clarke i suspect was a one year wonder and will now come back to the pack, but in all honesty its hard to keep up with a great athlete like Kruezer and then have to ruck against a guy 206cms.

Clarke won't do any better next time, bookmark it!!

So you make a statement that Yarran does nothing when the heat is on...the kid has only played played 6 games or so...easy call, well done, points to you, hats off!!!

We're yet to see so. Let's let him play a few game in 2010 where's he's devoid of ill health, and then decide.

Who is Clarke, btw?:p

Hmm. Well see. I said Banfield (2nd gamer) was an up and comer, and that he's worth watching out for (to which I was told this and that about his efficiency and how he's no good). He played very well when the heat was well and truly on. I said Yarran (6th or so gamer) would do nothing when the heat was on. 2 out of 2. It's not like all young players are incapable of playing under pressure, and that in no way was the 'easy call' I was making (you pretending it was doesn't make it so). I just think it's something Yarran in particular struggles with a lot right now, which is something he'll no doubt work on and improve. And when he does, he'll be a very dangerous player.

SC, I could bring up various examples of arrogant rubbish you've said over time, but I don't have the time. We all have hits and misses, and I genuinely thought this game was be over a lot quicker than it was. I was wrong. I ignored the vital fact that games between our respective sides, at least in recent years, have offered a close, hard contest. This one was no different.

Blues_man, someone stated Hendo's 3 goals "cancelled out" Fev's 3 goals. I don't think it's as simple as that. No need for the childish retorts, this isn't the Bay (though sometimes I wonder...).

Blues_history, I don't agree. Of Fevs goals:
1. He read the ball better, beat Jamo to it, and soccered truly (made something out of nothing, as opposed to having the ball served to him on a platter).
2. Thornton didn't miss a mark, the ball fell short and he never gathered, there was no turnover. Jamo and Fev saw Brown gather at the same instant, and Fev did what any good full forward will do, and outran Jamo on the lead.
3. And his third, again, simply out-led Jamo, and marked.

Where was this free kick goal? I'm not sure what you're referring to.

I just don't think he 'got lucky' with them (except the soccer- though I've hated Fev for the last 10 years for consistently pulling out that shit time and time again against us.)

Of Hendo's goals, and this is just my opinion, you're more than welcome to offer your view as this is your board, but I don't think he had to work as hard, given as two were handballs to him in front of goal (though on one he did a nice, probable neccessary sidestep to lose Merrett), and the other a free kick (which was, due to Goose's inabillity to stick the tackle, there).

Anyway. That's the last from me. All the funny name-calling and attempts to insult me aside, I don't think you guys like arguing things which are very much open to debate, with people who have differing opinions. Good luck for the year, I'm sorry to have allowed you to waste my time.

You've come in here to point score and haven't been the epitome of respectful. I'll allow you the last sentence if it makes you feel better and you keep your promise.

How about you take your attitude on our board and shove it where the sun doesnt shine...

and Fev's free was for a very dodgy hands in the back decision by the umpire when Fev launched himself and fooled the umpire. How about the mark that wasnt given to Henderson in the last quarter... blatant bullshit decision from the white maggot.
