Round 2 trades

Don't usually like to trade after the first round. But will probably do Pickett to Hannan just incase there are some more rookies that i need to trade in before the bubble.

Will also trade Hibberd to McGrath if Hibberd is dropped which is good because McGrath gives some strength to my backline.

No trades, selection permitting. If Scott drops the kids after one game vs WC I'll burn the joint down myself. Hold Smith until a must-have correction presents itself.
JK broke all the North Defender rookies

Not sure if i should trade J.Smith this week.
Think I might end up trading him.
So i can have 2 trades to correct rookies or maybe mid-pricers(probably not though)

Definitely waiting a week before making any major trades. Players like Steele, nankervis types have fooled people in the past with a round 1 bender

I totally agree and I'm all aboard the midpricer train with 7 of them in my start team (6 did v well, jaeger the only one going sub 95)

It looks promising at the moment, but still I'm far from certain it's a winning strategy just yet.

Next few weeks will be make or break, can't read too much into 1 round.

Nah, Scott saved EVW and Durds from JJK. Hibberd should be up on the wing. They'll play soon enough if Thompson and Hansen's form is any guide. I'm finally on the Drop Gibson bandwagon too.
That's it. Look towards the future and beyond

Simpkin to Hannan, free's up 45K too, might be premature but i need to address my backline potentially next week which will require 2 trades.

Moved Steele from forward to midfield via Pickett, Petrevski-Seton to the bench.

Butler and Hannan on the field in the Fwd line, Picket on the bench fwd.

Will most likely have to free up another 50K next week to turn Smith into Marchbank/McGrath in defence, am not liking Hampton, Otten, Stewart as D4/5/6, but we'll see what scores they put out this week.

Will loophole Andy Otten, and have Hibberd on the field. If Otten stinks it up, will leave Hibberd on the ground, if Otten goes 60+ i'll probably swap the non playing Smith onto the ground for Hibberd and take Otten's score.

Any horforn fans know if Miles was close to selection last week, or in with a shot this week after a loss ?
Agree with Sydney Kicker on Miles. Hodge back this week, and Clarko isn't exactly known to make a lot of changes. Barring injury (and the only one I'm aware of is a corkie to Cyril) the only change I see happening this week is Hodge coming in. Whitecross is also close by reports, and would likely be ahead of Miles too.

The general consensus on the Hawks board however, is that they would rather see Miles playing in place of the likes of Duryea and Hartung.

In before Hannan bangs out a 37
Nah, they're going to smack poor Carlton by 40 points, he'll slot a goal at least, bank him for 50 minimum

Spot RZ.
I was staggered Hansen got picked. Thought his papers were stamped. Not that I think he has nothing left as a footballer, just that he doesn't make a lot of sense for NM with there list and direction at present. Especially with Durdin having played, and looked ok during the JLT.
Similarly with Gibson. Got to admire the guy. One of those footballers who's milked absolutely everything out of himself over his career. But makes little sense to play him now. If NM are to move forwards, the likes of Gibson and Hansen shouldn't play
