Round 2 trades

Wouldn't that be funny. All those people experimenting trading out Treloar and Hannebury "just to see if my team looks better", then finding they couldn't reverse it!
LOL.

Definitely waiting a week before making any major trades. Players like Steele, nankervis types have fooled people in the past with a round 1 bender
Remember, Jesse Lonergan scored 96 rd1 last year.

Add me to the list. Went McGovern>Lonergan minutes before rd2 bounce. He was a preseason bolter, scored well rd1 and I panicked that I'll miss the boat. I got on the boat alright with about a dozen anchors.

Deadly serious - J steven > Heppell
Had heppell till an hour before the saints game... not sure why I thought Mr Ball butcher would be a good pick.
Will save 2 trades for next week to watch Pickett and Tarranto if they might become Hannan + Steele

I can see the thought process on that one. Saints had such a good record over Melbourne and are expected to do well, especially for the first half of the season with all their games at Etihad and Steven is normally a pretty consistent scorer in the 105-115 range and Heppell is playing his first game in what? 18 months or whatever it is? and against the Hawks who would've been definite favorites.

Shit happens. Don't feel too bad ;) Stick with Steven rather than chasing points. I'd be surprised if Heppell scored that high again for the rest of the season and Steven should bounce back. They'll both probably score about the same throughout the year anyway so it'd just be a sideways trade.

Remember the old days before reversals? Pen and paper out calculating everything. Only 20 trades too put hair on your chest
But, that is also great when u can have a life outside of SC. Locked out on first game - can we get it back? Late outs = bad luck we are all in the same boat

I totally agree and I'm all aboard the midpricer train with 7 of them in my start team (6 did v well, jaeger the only one going sub 95)

It looks promising at the moment, but still I'm far from certain it's a winning strategy just yet.

Next few weeks will be make or break, can't read too much into 1 round.
Mate, I have rookies everywhere and they bloody sucked harder than a black hole!
Srs, I think my strat of shit loads of rookis is going to really crush my spirit early, very, very early. So many potential zeros await my side by round 3 when they all get dropped.
Have a feeling I'll not be back until game day next year. Frustrating when all that work goes to absolute shit early. :'(

NRoo > Steele
Smith > Marchbank

Leaves me less confident up forward, but much more confident down back.
Leaves me with 117k.
I'm in the same boat, trying to work out what to do. Considered Riewoldt>Higgins / Smith>Marchbank?

But just like in a real footy game:
the silver lining is- the earlier it all falls apart, the more time you have to get back in it.

I was ranked 68,000 after rnd 3 last year, finished @ 630 or something.

I did then I reversed it an hour later after lunch.

You're not you when you're hungry.
Stupid. He had a horrid first qtr where he butchered the ball and was probably on negative points going into the 2nd qtr. He ended up only having a decent game and still almost reached a hundred.

Treloar on a good day will easily give you 120+

Exactly.

Treloar 2nd year at Collingwood(chemistry) and the top midfield in the game around him, there's zero reason to believe that his efficiency won't get much better.

Just saw a team that belongs to a guy at my work... bench full of non playing $102k rookies with no cash left over....

Fail!

sounds like a solid strategy this year
