Probably no trades this week. Normally I'd be scrambling to make rookie corrections now but I really can't see any I don't have that I'd want. Maybe English but I'd like to see him again.

The three keeper selections I was debating over were Savage V Simpson, Hurn V Walters and Billings V Menegola . Round 1 makes it look like I jumped the wrong way on them all and if that's repeated in round 2 a correctional trade or two may be on the cards next week.

Tell me you’re not considering Hurn

Well that first week was shocking.

Thinking the plan is to go;

Libba to Coniglio
Ryder to NicNat

Leaves me 97k to turn Naughton to Bonner the following week, but by doing that I won't be able to afford Olando to English for Ruck3 purposes because I'm scared of NicNat resting during the season.

Man I hope Zorko is ok as well

POD = Point of Difference. Which is a player with a low ownership (under 10%), that you pick instead of a player with high ownership.
Ex. Neale and Fyfe, pretty much same price, but neale has 6% ownership, compared to Fyfes 56%. People pick Neale hoping they score higher then the larger ownership player so that they can get that extra few places higher in rank, and stand out from the pack.

Dangerfields ownership is at 17%, which is extremely low and the lowest in years for the highest SuperCoach scorer. So he is a Super Juicy POD.
Did someone say Super Juicy POD :moustache:

:D I really don't understand why he's so maligned on this board. Have people actually looked at how he performed in the second half of last season? But no, that change is the least likely of the three by far.

Sorry guys, I haven't been game enough to try it yet, but can we still reverse this weeks trades prior to the first game?
I'm preeeeeeetty sure but not quite 100% sure.

Bonners game looks suited to open expanses like AO etc, so I'll watch with interest to see the impact a tight congested SCG has on his ability to run/score. If he passes this test v quality opposition I'll bring him in Rd3.

Think you’d be surprised in respect to ground dimensions of those two venues. AO would be narrower yet longer than SCG. Lots of space on the wings in Sydney. I reckon the low TV camera angle is deceiving.

Bonner IN before his price rise if he hold his spot will be most likely my only trade in the first 3 weeks barring a serious injury.

Other than missing him my Rookie picks i am happy with.
Yes, but you already have Danger ...... i guess i have to hope for a recurrence, to get back on a level platform with you ;)

It is 1rd in and anything can happen.

No one should be panicking yet and it is a marathon not a sprint.

**** man, you love to live dangerously. Turn Lycett to NicNat, with a rookie downgrade if possible.

Tried that last night , only way it was happening was Brayshaw/Lycett > 102k pleb + Nicnat...this way i can **** Naughton off too and leave 180k in bank instead of like 30k

As much as i've abused LDU, I still back myself for picking him and think he can easily pump out some 80-100 scores in a few weeks

The wet conditions didn't help him at all. Kid only spent 65% ToG, must have been knackered

Obviously if he has another shocker he simply has to go, but some visible improvement and a half decent score (60ish?) will be enough for me to keep him I reckon

Naughton on the other hand looks like a very slow burn...

Scored 2,263.

With $167k in the bank, and Libba suffering a LTI, I need to trade him at the very least.

At this stage i'm thinking of swapping Libba into the FWDs in exchange for Garlett, and then trade Libba > Billings. This would seriously bolster my FWDs, and mean i'd only need to field one rookie (Frisch) instead of two - which can only be a good thing considering Ryan/Fritsch/Langdon all have very limited ceilings in terms of scoring outputs.

I would have to field an extra rookie midfielder, but with the quality appearing deep with Holman and Kelly I can afford to take the risk. Would prefer to field an extra rookie there than the FWDs, which this trade enables me to correct.

This trade would cost me $74k, leaving me with $93k.

Also tempted to swap Naughton > Bonner with the remainder, but that will leave me with $2k in the bank.

Am also eying off English and Graham as potential sideways/slight upgrade rookie corrections. I would love to get Sicily back in (after swapping him a the last minute to Lobb), but I would have to forgo the Billings trade - and I think Billings will be a more reliable scorer than him.

Thoughts?
