Polec seems to be off to a great start, but a stat I found surprising is that he has had more than 75% of his ball in the defensive half - what has his role been this year? Whatever it is, it seems to be working
on the wing still, but with Motlop in Polec has been able to drop back a bit more with Motlop and Barry delivering the ball inside 50

Watched the 2nd half again last night. Damn we were good
JLT v crows and Freo too. A pattern developing where we monster the oppo or a symptom of a team with a lot of new players.
The thing i'm noticing is our clanger count is down and we're smarter with our ball use. It was slippery in the Sydney game
and I heard Jonas mention the yellow ball as a cause. You throw in manic pressure that comes before teams settle and or tire
but we've definitely upped our DE% and that shows as the game goes on.
Last yr we struggled against the better and more organised teams, this yr those teams will bring out the best in us.

He's been playing this sort of role for a couple years. Our wings at times play a more attacking half back role, get back to help the defence and then launch and break lines from there, at the moment its Polec, Barry, doing that by the looks. We then have the half forwards playing a more wing like role with Boak and Motlop coming up the ground and sprinting back towards goal.

Polec is a seriously under rated player for his ability to hit targets, be evasive and also win hard balls.

Correct - Polec is a quiet superstar ... but let us keep it that way.

The biggest differences between this Sydney team and the one we beat last year is that this one does not have Sam Reid or Sam Naismith but it does have Isaac Heeney and Jarrad McVeigh. Some other changes in personnel but Reid could have been a big one as he could have added a bit to their forwards and Naismith could have helped Sinclair in the rucks. Neither Heeney or McVeigh added as much as was expected.
But we had our important losses from last year too. No Ryder, no Young(3 goals). Marshall was the big affecting in for this game.

I didn't re-watch a single game last year. That's basically unheard of for me. Already watched the first 2 games twice!
Yeah it's funny, I've rewatched 2013/14 games plenty of times but have never really been inclined to replay any 15/16/17 games - but I've already watched replays of our 2 games this year. Good signs.

Myself too, and watching it on replay, the first half doesn't look as dismal as it did live. I'm even tempted to rewatch the Magpies game too.
This is a "let me google that for you" question, but how much is a pass to watch SANFL games online/on mobile devices? I'm only interested in Magpies games but would rarely sit down to watch it on tv.

$59.95 is the digital pass cost, as stated in the OP.
If you a re a member of one of the SANFL clubs (not Port or Crows) then you can get it for $29.95

What I’ve noticed this year is whether it’s defence, midfield, wing or attack, it seems we have more ball winners. :)
