I'm going to move on to more important things. Maybe you should too, if you have any.
I mean really. We are on a forum that I like to think could be similar to conversations about footy in real life if people are genuine.

Would definitely think of a St Kilda supporting mate as a bit of a dick if I asked him how Gresham’s knee is and told me to google it.

Probably the biggest reason I don’t ask questions here. Toxic

Gresham's knee is a bit......

Overview

Torn meniscus
Torn meniscusOpen pop-up dialog box
A torn meniscus is one of the most common knee injuries. Any activity that causes you to forcefully twist or rotate your knee, especially when putting your full weight on it, can lead to a torn meniscus.

Each of your knees has two C-shaped pieces of cartilage that act like a cushion between your shinbone and your thighbone. A torn meniscus causes pain, swelling and stiffness. You also might feel a block to knee motion and have trouble extending your knee fully.

Conservative treatment — such as rest, ice and medication — is sometimes enough to relieve the pain of a torn meniscus and give the injury time to heal on its own. In other cases, however, a torn meniscus requires surgery.

Symptoms

If you've torn your meniscus, it might take 24 hours or more for pain and swelling to begin, especially if the tear is small. You might develop the following signs and symptoms in your knee:

  • A popping sensation
  • Swelling or stiffness
  • Pain, especially when twisting or rotating your knee
  • Difficulty straightening your knee fully
  • Feeling as though your knee is locked in place when you try to move it
  • Feeling of your knee giving way

When to see a doctor

Contact your doctor if your knee is painful or swollen, or if you can't move your knee in the usual ways.

The posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) is a ligament within the knee. Ligaments are tough bands of tissue that connect bones.

The PCL -- similar to the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) -- connects the thigh bone (femur) to your shin bone (tibia). Although it is larger and stronger than the ACL, the PCL can be torn.

An injury to the PCL can cause mild to severe damage. Doctors classify PCL injuries in these groups:
  • Grade I: The PCL has a partial tear.
  • Grade II: The ligament is partially torn and is looser than in Grade I.
  • Grade III: The ligament is completely torn and the knee becomes unstable.
  • Grade IV: The PCL is damaged along with another ligament in the knee.
PCL problems can be acute or chronic. Acute PCL problems are due to a sudden injury. Chronic PCL problems involve an injury that develops over time.

Because if you move King to CHF you have a hole at FF. We spoke about it during the podcast this week that it wouldn't surprise us to see Campbell in to allow Ro the freedom to play deep and let King roam. They all have form of kicking goals against the Hawks, so it makes sense to me.

Campbell has also played great football at VFL level and if we're arguing Owens deserves a spot after 1 game back from injury, surely Campbell then warrants a spot after continuous weeks of good form during the year. Especially with Paddy out.
So just so I understand-
You take your best forward and tell him to roam, take your best ruckman and place him deep forward and put a VFL ruckman in to replace him.
All while having a good leading forward play in defence.
Hope everyone enjoys the long bomb game plan

You made the mistake of talking about footy.

I had a knee problem, and my physio told me he was very confident we could fix it with the correct exercise.
But i was doing the exercises very diligently for weeks and going for physio sessions and it remained really painful.

He said there was a chance that it was something else , but you needed an MRI to tell, and you could only get an MRI subsidised if you had a suspected torn meniscus. He was very sure i didn't have a torn meniscus , but he wrote a letter to show a GP to try to get a referral for an MRI.

Unfortunately i went to my normal doctor , who is pretty switched on.
He didn't just write a referral like i might expect from some sleazy bulk billing gp, he had a decent look.
" You don't have a torn meniscus , out you go ".

I've had a torn PCL , caught a skii tip in a tree root and pretty much twisted my foot sideways until it went twang.
I'd been skiing to the Buller carpark at the end of the day, ( bustrip ) so i finished skiing down. Packed my gear in the bus. Walked up the steps , then turned sideways onto that leg to get past someone in the aisle, BANG , down i went. Just collapsed under me.
When i let it heal naturally without getting it treated i ended up with a bucket tear, which would lock my leg in a slightly bent position at random times.
I'd have to find a bench seat or something and put my shin on it, bending my knee, then manipulate my foot until it freed up.

Eventually had it fixed with an arthroscope.

The PCL is still really loose, i have to be careful if i'm twisting against that knee, because i have no sense if i've twisted too far.

Well I'm looking forward to seeing Hanners play. While it will take a significant chunk out of his wage per game average, he is a very good footballer with a high footy iq and great disposal and decision making, so at least we can get to enjoy watching the man play.

Campbell deserves a chance after being our best for Sandy basically all year, but on team balance we may have been better of with Owens. We might want to give him a game in the 1sts to get him up to speed before the hard run of games we have coming up tho.

Well hasn't this thread got all exciting

Dude he's out for the season

One person hurt your feelings and you got upset about it and called the place toxic...when plenty of posters here actually did give you the info you required

Doesn't make the whole place toxic

Anyone ever seen a guy yelling at his missus in a threatening way, then you go over and ask if she’s ok? Then they both turn on you and tell you to * off mind your own business.

Point is, I’m proud of the way you banded together sainters.

See the video of the young bloke who got his throat slashed staunching someone on the street last week or so in NSW? Gotta be careful approaching situations these days, especially if you’re asking dumb questions 😎

I think you joined the party too late.

Was replying to the two top blokes who obviously took offence at a simple question before the decent people answered.

I don’t really get the back to your own board either. I spend most of my time on other boards (not always footy related).

I hope Collingwood keep winning the close ones but only manage 5th on the ladder. We sneak into eighth place by O.O1% and play them in an elimination final.

Then we beat them by 1 pt after the siren.

F1 it, go to the 4 decimals, then we can watch as the Pies vie for a supercar team.

They win because money, everyone else wins because eventually, someone air wrenches their own nipple on a drunken bender.

Hannerbery will be 32 next year and I wouldn't have him on the list.
We are now needing to get games into guys like Clark , Windhager , Owens , Coffield , Bytel , Milera and most probably a couple more in the draft and having him fill a spot is taking game time away from one of the kids.

O'k if he can lift us to get to finals well and good but really this should be his last year.

Our side next year

Paton - Howard - Wilkie
Sinclair - Battle - Coffield
Milera - Steele - Amon
Windhager - Hayes - Butler
Higgins - King - Membery

Marshall - Crouch - DeGoey

Owens / Sharman / Clark / Hill / Gresham / Billings / Ross / Briggs / Jones / McKenzie / Webster / Long / Wood

position the players where you wish
but this to me would be our go to 31
Amon will be a Hawk 4 -5 years at 650k
And lets be honest DeGoey has a choice of Cats or Saints you take Cats

I'd love him to play really really well for the rest of the year so that he can retire on a high note.

Did you get that Dan!!!! RETIRE!!!.
The Sydney game in Round 23 would be perfect. Unfortunately, I can't see his body holding up until then. It would be very fitting for him to be chaired off after that game, though.
