Like I mentioned. The Collingwood comeback was a prime example. Pendles doesn’t yell at players but he knew the game plan well enough to initiate a counter attack

The 'Pendles Game Winning Strategy' is such a load of fluff.

Essendope had 3 chances on that play to kill the ball & win the game... topped off my the softest attempt to spoil a mark that I've ever seen from Langford.

The dopers stuffed up... Pendles' plan should have been stopped at the kick out.

I guess. But I also feel like we would have chosen to kick directly to a pack of Essendon supporters if it was us. Big Douglas taking the kick out and roosting it down the centre

The only way I could see it working is a handshake deal that he retires upon another injury. That will open an SPP or MSD spot, otherwise no dice..
Hannerbery will be 32 next year and I wouldn't have him on the list.
We are now needing to get games into guys like Clark , Windhager , Owens , Coffield , Bytel , Milera and most probably a couple more in the draft and having him fill a spot is taking game time away from one of the kids.

O'k if he can lift us to get to finals well and good but really this should be his last year.

Our side next year

Paton - Howard - Wilkie
Sinclair - Battle - Coffield
Milera - Steele - Amon
Windhager - Hayes - Butler
Higgins - King - Membery

Marshall - Crouch - DeGoey

Owens / Sharman / Clark / Hill / Gresham / Billings / Ross / Briggs / Jones / McKenzie / Webster / Long / Wood

position the players where you wish
but this to me would be our go to 31

Rowan Marshall career games: 82, games kicking at least 3 goals: 0

Jack Hayes career games: 5, games kicking at least 3 goals: 1

Tom Campbell career games: 55, games kicking at least 3 goals: 1

Marshall has some forward craft and can be a wonderful, long kick for goal at times. He's never put it together in a game, however. I'd probably be splitting the ruck/forward/bench times between Marshall and Campbell 50/50 to start, and then see who is playing better in the ruck and move forward accordingly.
How good was Jack Hayes as a late selection. He as pretty handy around the ground as well. Very nice add back into the 2023 lineup.

I reckon he's better than adequate, but he hasn't really played the position regularly for a while. He used to destroy his opponent fairly regularly.

I don't think his tap work is very directed. His best performances are grabbing the ball himself and kicking out of the centre. He reminds me of Hickey in the tap work he does and he's got better with age. He is sort of under exploited IMO, there are the traits to make him a star and he's not there yet.

So you're saying we'll secure the services of the remaining top 2 free agents then. Oke doke..

32 years old 15 games out of 80 odd games and we want him on the list next year ? Let’s move on a couple of 20 year olds and keep Hannebery it would be so Stkilda 😂

Sooner he is gone the Better

Riewoldt had a go at us playing Hannebury last night on Fox. As a pundit, he sure makes a great Centre Half Forward.
Seem's he never says a good word about the team.

I don't know but they will secure a couple players for certain , Dunkley , Hopper , Taranto , DeGoey , Amon will all not go to Carlton , Bombers , Hawks or Cats.

They have let been known they are after players to fill the gaps in our list - who that is who knows but they have talked to DeGoey and Amon and we are more than a chance to get both.

If Campbell is playing then I’d hope it’s mostly forward. Marshall is much better in the ruck. Neither are very good key forwards so I don’t really understand the decision.

Would much prefer Owens.
