Looks like we posted at the exact same minute ;)

Thrown to Wolves. By the sounds of it he is stoked with Taberner. Great lets throw that skinny kid to the wolves instead.

Honestly Rosses KPI's give me the shits sometimes. We need Walters now !! Not next week when we have already lost the cats game and on the back foot

We need to go hell for leather for top 2 and take risks
Could Ross be bluffing? Would be most unlike him!

Actually based on your logic, deBoer's average of 15.91 disposals in 2014 is not that bad. At least he is ahead of hacks like Mathew Pavlich (14.41), Zachery Clarke (12.67) and Hayden Ballantyne (12.25!!). I suggest we drop all of these deadweights first ;)

Strobe00, as much as it's annoying,
Pokerspiv argument did have some merit though. Sonson can do forward pressure pretty well too and can also run through the middle if necessary.
Like for like, he may be an upgrade on deBoer in the forward 50.
Mate, if sonny were available and it was him or mdb... I'd be leading the charge to lob MDB elsewhere.

I just don't think it's an either or thing. They used to play in the same forward line together. And we seemed to go alright then too.

Honestly, Walters has to play. If we lose this the best we can hope for is fourth, if Sonny isn't up to it he can go back and have a few games in the magoos to prepare for the finals anyway. We have everything to gain from this match, it's a risk well worth taking in my view.

I guess the guys getting paid know more than me but why would you play Taberner? He isn't good enough for afl yet. And why not Walters as sub? I just don't get it at all.
It's all part of the master plan. I don't think Ross likes tipping his hand in H&A games against finals contenders.

if pav misses the kpf cupboard is pretty bare at the moment with gumby, apeness, kep and even silva likely being unavailable.

Hannath or griff I don't really want to contemplate.

Mayne and clarke as kpfs is possible but very short.

Mj and elvis need more time in the backline, so sending them forward wouldn't be a real option.

Tabs seems like the best of a bunch of rather unappealing options if pav has to miss.

We can kiss top 4 goodbye is Taberner plays.

At the very least I want him to show a bit of mongrel if he plays, he has shown very little else at AFL level.
Blame the player for not having enough games under his belt. We have had a run of easier games this year and havent looked to the future, yes Tabs, Apeness, have had
token games, but Tabs needs time in the middle, Pearce is another who needs fast tracking.
Unless we can pull a rabbit out of the hat, these three talls are going to be part of our spine, and holding down key positions sooner than some posters think.
Tabs is a running, leading machine, Apeness is the aggressive beast, I dont think he has the mongrel in him, but I dont think Pavlich does either.
He just needs to do what Mayne does, and if he doesnt mark it, give that second effort.

Other then people speculating on here i don't recall hearing anyone mentioning Tabs playing?

Would you rather finish fourth and have a cherry ripe Walters for an away final, or bring him in early risk losing him to a soft tissue injury and still lose the Cats game because we're a man down? If he's ready he plays, if he's not, put a fit player in. Simple.

Well put it this way - we finish fourth and you may as well stick a fork in us.

Bringing Walters back through the WAFL is the correct decision. Even the likes of Judd comes back through the twos.

I am looking forward to seeing SonSon out there as much as the next guy but he needs to experience an actual game which you simply can't fully replicate at training.

don't necessarily agree with you but fair enough

Look don't get me wrong, it's not impossible, but history will tell you that 4th has only made the Grand Final twice under the current system (Collingwood 2002 and Sydney 2006) and in both cases they lost.

We also know it's very hard to make the Grand Final if you lose in week 1, so I think we're very unlikely to do so unless we're at home. In which case we would be very likely to win IMO.
