I would love never have a 4:40 Sunday game ever again

Win and it’s a great start to the week and then we get us..
Hate to break your heart Gasometer last road Gold Coast will be a 4:40pm game in Tasmania then come 2024 I expect at least 75% to 80% of our games will be a 1:10pm or 4:40pm games on either Saturday or Sunday.

Play the kids wherever possible.
Hansen Jnr debut in front of family and friends,
If fit, play Bergman and Lazarro..... Archer, Goater, Phillips, Harvey, Xerri need to keep playing.

Where is the best pub for a beer prior for a Roos fan?

While I’m at it, where are the best cougar bars in Perth? Asking for a friend of course 😉

Derwayne was talking about a farewell game for Ziebull and Cunnington on his radio show today. Sounds like he was advocating for Ziebull to get dropped do you think it would still happen, that they would both come back this year? He has obviously decided that Jacks time is up. I know Cunnington has an injury so it might not be possible for him. Maybe a lap in the back of a BT50 might have to happen. He also said we need to give Goldy another year.

JZ and B10 ….IF….it’s going to be end of career should both have games at the Tigers MCG game

West Coast Eagles training notes: Luke Shuey on light duties in race to be fit to face North Melbourne

"

Luke labours

West Coast captain Luke Shuey faces an uphill battle to play against North Melbourne on Sunday as he battles a hamstring injury.

Coach Adam Simpson last night declared the Eagles wouldn’t rule him out of the clash against their fellow cellar-dwellers, but Shuey was only on light duties at training today.

The 33-year-old alternated between running and walking laps early in the session, including a jog and a chat with Simpson, stopping to sign autographs.

Shuey then moved to the back oval at Mineral Resources Park and underwent some explosive movement work with defender Alex Witherden and young ruck-forward Jack Williams.

He returned only briefly to the main oval — having trained for around 40 minutes — chatting to staff and keeping an eye on the midfield group heading inside.

Smiling Simmo

Simpson appeared largely unfazed, at least publicly, in his first appearance after bombshell reports by Caroline Wilson were aired, suggesting both he and chief executive Trevor Nisbett could be at the end of the season.

The Eagles coach ran a lap with his sore captain and then kept a close eye on the session, before signing autographs and chatting to fans that had braved the rain to line the fence.

Filling up the Petrol tank

Jack Petruccelle’s move to the midfield appears to be something the Eagles are keen to stick with.

The speedster’s on-ball time hovered around 50 per cent for games against St Kilda and Brisbane before pulling out of the Richmond match with a calf injury and returning in an outside role against Carlton.

But he was today working with the midfield group in a stoppage drill, with Campbell Chesser also involved after his on-ball time increased against the Blues.

Greg Clark, Luke Edwards and Zane Trew, who are all in the mix to replace Shuey if he was to miss, all took part in stoppage practice.

ComeBACK trail

Running defender Jamaine Jones is nearing a return from an ankle injury, training with the defenders on Tuesday.
Jones took part in all of training, including a half-field transition drill. He was last week listed as being two or three weeks away from a return, but looks to be building strongly in his push to play again this season.

Uncapped first-year player Coby Burgiel also trained with the defenders as he continues his recovery from mid-season surgery to repair a damaged hamstring tendon.

Josh Rotham trained with the backs as well after returning in the WAFL team’s defeat on Saturday. "
