The tigers pushed GWS two weeks ago only losing by 20pts in syd , and were even with port all game before being well beaten in the last quarter. Two current top teams.

My god there’s some insufferable posters on here. That game day thread. Woweee
Yeah, that is what I thought. This victory was not as lack lustre as some would have us believe. Richmond never looked likely. Against other teams higher on the ladder than us, they have. Clearly we were thinking about next week. Percentage is important, but a win is more so. Take the win, and don't belittle it.

I guess you can view the game from a number of angles.

Is it going to take N Daicos to get 40 for us to win games? I still don't see enough players sharing the load.

Pleasing to see Hill be involved with some second and third efforts. Schultz was very close from it being a very good game as opposed to a good game.

Also great to see Harrison return the field late in the game.

A win is a win I guess. Good to see McStay back. Can't see us challenging Carlton next week. Hopefully the boys lift for Pendles 400th.

Felt like a 5 year old today. Said to my friend, "Lipinski is a front runner', she replied, 'finisher'.

Then it continued all day but I was right until he kicked the goal.

Pendles was subbed off at 3/4 time (?) injured according to the AFL app. I was there and didn’t see anything.

Just a precaution to keep him safe for his 400th?

Didn’t even know he’d been subbed off

Got to clean up the ball movement going forward.

Would hate to see the stats on Vlastuin, Broad, Miller intercept game today.

Could see McStay who was dominating was clearly frustrated.

What should have been an 8 goal win turns into an ugly 4 goal win lol
Their blokes had a few intercepts which is typical of our ball movt but incredibly Kanes spud, Moore had the most 13, which shows they move the ball badly as well.

yep, he said after the game the coaches told him he was being subbed out - nothing wrong with him

McStay’s best goal return for us. Looking forward to his game against Carlton.

When Dan was marking and kicking goals today, I said to my mate, please don’t wake me up. I’m dreaming that we have a tall marking forward who’s kicking goals.

It wasn’t a great or dominant game for him, but very encouraging given his second game back.

JDG at 60% against Carlton's midfield would be a handicap. He is explosive and a bull but his handball skills under pressure is very bad and can be taken advantage of... when healthy. Imagine if he's 60%.

Agree. I was thinking forward. He's not up to midfield minutes.

It was so noticeable from very early on what McStay and Cox have added to the side height-wise. Cameron’s had a fine season and that may have been his best game thanks to Cox covering most of the forward half ruck contests.

McStay super strong and competing in every pack. Very glad to have both back

All we expect is 100% effort….
Cameron is the epitome of that…
Moore better today
Cox did his job
Mcstay refreshing..
Daicosss is king
Lippa, Harrison, Steele & Schultz gave Richmond a boost

A win is a win,but that was pretty unimpressive, especially the last quarter.Hopefully the players were saving themselves for Pendles’ 400th game next week.

The best thing about the game was that Nick will almost certainly get another three votes in the Brownlow now.😀
