Bytel third highest disposals - fine game to those who actually understand the game.
Could you please explain that?
Cos all I saw was a guy routinely guarding grass, being loose, not manning up and usually taking too long to dispose of the ball.
Just got away with it against crap opposition.

I’ve haven’t seen a greater momentum killer since trying to open the condom in the dark.

A win is a win,but that was pretty unimpressive, especially the last quarter.Hopefully the players were saving themselves for Pendles’ 400th game next week.

The best thing about the game was that Nick will almost certainly get another three votes in the Brownlow now.😀

About all I'm looking at in the last few games. Hopefully he tears Carlton a new one again.

As ugly as it looked at times it’s still a win and the players will be happier this week and that should hopefully feed into the emotion for next week.

They were definitely in cruise/ hold mode in the last with the short turn around to next week as the Blues have an extra 2 days.

We will win next week.

We held our serve. Now we need to break back a few times

Was a throwback to the Chris Mayne days

Certainly not the most professional 4 quarter game but a wins a win.

With our bunnies and Pendles 400th coming up, we can certainly still get a result next week and leave ourselves a chance with 2 wins out of the last 3.

Going to have to play at least 3 quarters of great football next week, not just 2.

Let me get this right, some people are happy with how we played?
Wow, we were just as bad as we have been lately.
Moore was out of position again all day, Shultz field kicking is deplorable, Harrison I don’t think touched it, and we burnt a lot of footy.
The only difference is that Richmond turned over so much footy it didn’t hurt us especially their forward entries, they were VFL standard today and we were not a heap better.
What I loved was Bytel’s efforts to add pressure, be an option and rack up the footy.
Cameron was fantastic as was ND JD and Elliott.

Wasn’t able to see the game but based on needing a percentage boost to be considered any chance this year I guess that is just a papering over the cracks result that still means season over.

Percentage likely wont be important. The teams in the eight are miles ahead of us in terms of %. We need wins. The teams we are level with on games/% won’t win like we need to…

Were you at the game or watching on TV?
Cos I didn’t see that Bytel.

Granted he was playing on the worst forward in the competition, but Moore was excellent

Thanks for posting. I will rewatch the replay with a view to observing exactly what he did. This is important, as establishing a competent inside midfield presence is critical for us to make the finals.

Playing wing is about holding space so you’re an outlet when needed.
He did that well and was considered with how he used the ball - 60% DE is quite respectable.
Bucks rated his game - that will do me.

they look like a team that is mentally and physically spent ..... going deep into september riding an emotional wave like they have the last 2 years will do that

some interesting list choices confront them in the off-season
