Pathetic from the midfield but that last quarter will be a hard lesson for them.

What lesson is there to learn today that they shouldn't already know? Momentum begins and ends at the centre bounce. That starts with the ruckman and Darcy let us down big time today. The lack of support by the other mids didn't help either. A clearance dominant midfield should not be getting smacked in their strongest area of the ground.

Looks like Darcy and Draper both kinda get a hand on it and it goes nowhere, and Merrett is already charging through and burning off Young and that’s the game.

You’d want Darcy to be stronger there when Serong and Young are both set up offensively. He had the reach on it too.

A team which is deserving of those kinds of title we are not; show some pride in yourselves, don't be joke supporters and your team please.

It is a tight competition; this was evidenced by good teams above us in the ladder got thrashed this weekend. We lost by a point and almost won the game, yes we lost out of the middle comprehensively (not for the first time) but we also did many things right. Essendon midfielders played out of their skins - we should acknowledge that they did and that they had the capacity to do so.

However out of all of that, we are still in the race to be in the 8, unlike some other teams, we have beaten some top teams, and gameplan and players are competitive. If you can't find that perspective at the moment, maybe walk away from the computer, because you are doing yourselves a disservice.

We had so many good looks to put it away in the last. Up by 25 and just bad entries and then swittas brain dead decision to pass.

I don’t understand Aish as sub. Gave us no point of diff coming on. Probably better with Raz on.

Chappys one of my favs but man he was poor. Fumbles, dropping marks, bad disposal.. he’s not alone, but my word he was bad today.

Why isn’t Jackson taking that last bounce? He’s our best chance for a jump tap clearance. Having no one defensive side and letting Merritt get on the run is just woeful setup and planning.

4th time this year we've lost the game in the final few minutes of the match - that's the difference between being a contender and not. One classy win against the Swans doesn't make up for all of that.

Really dreadful outcome when you consider the situation - most beatable opponent in the last 4 games, 25pts up at quarter time and completely bottled it. Top 2 contender back to the bottom edge of the 8 with other contenders pushing through, real chance of missing now as I'm only hopeful of one more win for the season out of our next 3.

They seriously crumble without a home crowd to help them over the line. Our road record this year is putrid really.

Wins against: 18th Richmond, 17th North, 14th Saints, and a shit Melbourne team. Sydney game we were lucky not to lose. We'll get absolutely destroyed by GWS in a couple weeks too.

This reminded me of 2022 dockers midfield. Too small and one way, playing behind their man constantly. When eagles were up and about last week it was the same. Wait for the option to take possession than trying to tackle them. Darcy has zero craft under pressure, he looks like his eyes are closed and he just taps it randomly.

Yeah we win our last 3 games we make top 4. As that will get us up to 3rd we basically play the 3 teams above us.

Top 2 is probably shot though.

But in saying that if the swans lose to Collingwood and Essendon we win our last 3.
