You do have to question how much of it cost based and how much of it is fair weather, lots of heads I used to see weekly or near it at the footy between 2011-2016 I don't really see anymore. Maybe they've just had misfortune with money coinciding with us being garbage though.

I would presume that Jeka would play forward if Serong were to be dropped, as I doubt Denver will play in the forward line, given he's never played there. However, with Blanck regaining selection in the team, Jeka may be the individual to be removed from the side. With that being said, who knows what Sam and the selection panel are thinking?

It was years ago, though, and I doubt Sam will select him to play forward as Jeka's in the side. As I said in my above comment, we'll see who is omitted. I reckon it's great that we're having a conversation surrounding the selection, as it shows we have adequate depth in specific positions.

We have played Big Boy one out against Witts and now Nankervis two weeks in a row.

Certainly not going easy on the Captain in his last couple of games!

Our ruck situation really is in an interesting situation when you consider Big Boy wont be here next year and what we would do when Reeves is injured.

If this is Shiels' last year at the club, a send-off at the MCG would be fitting. I don't think he could be sub in those circumstances. I also wonder if Howe has been selected for a final game. If so, that leaves only two from the extended bench for the 22. Maginness must be a cert so we are down to one. Maybe Jeka with either MacDonald or Serong to sub and Saunders to debut against Footscray. If Jake is selected I think he will play CHB with Scrimshaw and/or Day going forward.

When the kids come on next season, Impey should be depth too. They are both good footballers that can play a role when needed but we need consistently better players for the side to improve.

Does anyone remember how good Impey is when fully fit with a preseason behind him?

He'd get a game at every club.

I think for impey its more his ankle than his knee that is bothering him.

I feel as though we would have seen the social media debutant post by now. He's also listed last on the bench which has been the case when Ned Long has been named but hasn't made the cut.
