Did we look better with Moore off the park? I think he is way too aggressive with his positioning, and this is compounded by the fact Murphy/Maynard are too. We need a pure defender or two who lockdown alongside Darcy - we leaked some pretty poor goals in that first quarter.
Agree. I had an awful dread feeling in that first qtr, we looked pretty insipid. It did feel like we weren't going to capture that intensity & pressure we had become known for. And then it was like a light switched on. Coincidentally about the same time Ginni entered the game.
The issue with Moore is he doesn’t adapt his game around the lack of pressure and still tries to play a loose accountable role giving his opponent room to punish him in those circumstances.
Or he needs much better people around him. Because those he does have, clearly don't know the game well, like he said.
