I still can’t understand how we can lose just about every stat badly,inside 50’s,clearances,contested ball,and still find a way to win.It’s mind boggling.I don’t know how this side keeps doing it,

It will end badly eventually. I just hope it doesn’t lead to too much overestimation of our list by the footy department. I mean, trading Grundy for Cameron is already a downgrade in contested ball. Hopefully they don’t go all crazy and let DeGoey go.

Voss misses finals too

My only hope at the start of the year was that the word around clubland - Voss is a poor tactician - was true.

With a list boasting elite top-end talent like Curnow, McKay, Walsh, Cripps, Weitering, Doc, Saad, and ample quality (and highly paid) backup in Kennedy, Hewett, Cerra, ZWilliams, Gov, Newman and Martin, they'd need a monumentally inept coach to miss finals.

Well, we got all that and more with Vossy. Plan A - win the clearances with a stacked midfield and bomb it forward to a stacked forward line. Plan B - refer to Plan A. Plan C - capitulate spectacularly when the chips are down.

Any other coach in the league walks this team into finals, no questions asked.

Let's hope Simple Mick's reign is long. Years at the bottom has built a formidable list, but piss poor coaching continues to hold them back.

Just a few thoughts from me.

We are now 2 wins up on the Blues all time.
My one regret for this win was John Elliot didint live long enough to see this game...
and after watching this season, my conspiracy theory is that the umps make decisions to even up the game.... uncanny how many times we got the run when we were down and got shocking decisions when we were up.. (not really serious... but maybe i am!)

i had this afternoon nap and I had this dream....

we were playing carlton and we were getting flogged. We were so far behind in contested possessions that it was questionable whether we were contesting...

and the blues were in front and I remember feeling like it was a hopeless situation in the dream...

and then the Pies came back and won. It was freakish. I woke up and I realised it was a dream because the scenario was so unreal. It just wasnt believable...

They’ve got deeper issues from years of tanking and bad choices to get over. Some of those were of our doing thankfully, Daisy, Salty Malty etc which I’ll always be greatful for.

BT, Hodgey and Nath Jones blatantly cheering on the Blues all day. Your job is to commentate, not barrack, you dimwits.
