Prediction Round 23 Changes vs. GWS Giants

In: Reidy, Simpson

Out: Tabs, Worner

Sub: O’Meara (unforgivable play on late in final qrt robbed us of a chance for clean inside 50)

Let Reidy be main ruck and revert Jackson to backup and get our FWD structure right

Let’s see how Simpson has progressed as a small FWD

Lol
This was a must win game and he
Brings in Taberner of all people
Chooses to field Banfield once again
Thinks Worner is a good sub option

Seriously whats going on here?
How isnt Brodie even looked at as an option at this point? Us fans have been querying this for months with no answer. Are we talking to ourselves? Is there any point to us having a voice when were never listened to?
How long do we stay loyal to this crap?
I cant help but feel this group is being held back by coaching who are loyal to the wrong players

Surely Darcy is an in? If his injury was that bad he wouldn't have warmed up/been such a late out.

So you'd imagine it would be Darcy in for Tabs right? Or are we that full of shit as a club when it comes to injuries?

The first rule of Docker club is, Sean Darcy is never 'IN'
The second rule of Docker club is, Sean Darcy is never 'IN'

Waiting for the match review findings to drop later today. Won't surprise me if those clowns give Brayshaw a week for Bruhn driving his head into him while Brayshaw was doing nothing. They were talking at it at length on the post-footy show last night on Foxtel. All said he did nothing wrong, but you just don't know with the useless MRO.

JL said Darcy, Treacy and Walters should be back.

So naturally that means Taberner, Voss and someone else out.

For the sake of selection integrity Brodie just needs to come in. He won’t but he should.

It’s paying long long odds, but win our last 2 and we get a home final. Win one and we likely play finals. Lose these, go 0-4 in final 4 weeks to likely miss finals would be devastating.

It was in our hands all year.
Beat Hawks, we’re already in finals. Beat Carlton were already in finals.
Beat Port or Geelong and were sitting inside top 4.
Beat Bombers, were already in finals.

It’s now in our hands more than ever. Freo do have a history of winning this exact sort of set up.

Out : Tabs, Worner, Banfield

In: Reidy, Drizz, Brodie

O’meara to play banfields position
Drizz to fill o’meara’s role

Brodie comes in to our mid rotations, more time forward for the likes of Fyfe, Johnson, Serong .
Also noting GWS have some big midfield units we need to counter

Reidy the obvious in for tabs, leaving Jackson forward in treacy’s absence

Any chance you lot can actually call out some players that aren't easy targets? Tabs and Voss were crap, obviously, but we knew that going in.

Amiss was trash, but nobody wants to mention that
Jackson can't possibly be spoken about negatively on here
Ryan was crap again
Cox was poor
Sharp was quantity over quality again
Switta made poor decisions all day
Sturt had two kicks after quarter time
Fyfe had 0 tackles
Midfield got beaten again, this time by a 34 year old Dangerfield when it mattered

Saying Voss and Tabs need to be dropped is stating the obvious, but pretending our better players are above criticism is weak. How about we actually discuss the best 22 players performance, not the guys who played because of injury?

Switta pulled out of a contest in the last quarter where he needed to make contact. I don't know if he is carrying and injury, but that was unacceptable. It was really soft.

Last week against the Bombers, he jogged as a Bomber ran away from him.

Both of these examples were when the game was on the line.

I'm a fan of Switta, but his ability to impact games through his pressure has dropped off. Especially when the game is up for grabs...

Darcey Tracey and Walters in

Tabs Voss and Worner out

Banfield Sub

I'd be happy to drop banners and make Erasmus sub

Bit harsh on switta. You see he is always giving repeated chases. Even Clark on the poddy praised his efforts last week, where he had 4 repeated chases in one play

BANFIELD
WORNER

In:
Brodie- my god there’s two rounds left and he hasn’t even played AFL this year. There’s been spuds yet Brodie can’t get a game?

Reidy. 54 hitouts. Wtf are these coaches on? Rucks win hit outs.

Aish- he’s needed on field. So poor not to play him on the bench, and have Worner.

Out:

Tabs
Worner
Voss

You think winning hit outs against a wafl reserves ruckmen means anything in regards to AFL????

watch for giants they are last quarter run home specialists

they are not great at clearance and we should get field position, however they are tsunami specialists and will run and link via handball from defence. they are very hard to stop later in games when we are tired.

we are supposed to be the best defence, lets see how we go...

It's not harsh at all, he basically side stepped a contest yesterday when the game was on the line. It was incredibly soft.

As to the Bombers game, he needed to chase harder. When the game is on the line you don't save your energy for the next contest. That play led to a goal for.the Bombers.

I really rate him, but he shouldn't be immune to criticism.

We've been playing one of the youngest teams all year.
I understand this, but what happens if next year we don’t have Walters, Fyfe, JOM and Aish?
Then you have Darcy missing games?
What’s the age gap between Reidy and Darcy? Brodie is not young, and Erasmus has been in the system for awhile too.
Tabs is cooked and also might not be here next season.
Let’s be honest the Hawks will be rated higher than us next year, so the youth
card is off the table.

Giants kicked 13.4 to win the game.
Brisbane kicked 8.16.

They weren’t even that efficient when going inside 50. What they were was accurate.

Brissy would be fuming after that.
Toby Green might find himself in some trouble too. Bit similar to Banfield

What it does do it make the Brisbane is 100% motivated to smash the Pies next week.
