every time we seem to settle the rain comes in to even things out
Playing in wet conditions doesn’t “even things out”.

If anything, more talented and well drilled teams stand out in tricky conditions.

I believe the wet conditions will help us here, as we have the far smarter group of footballers out there today.

Typical bloody North game. They're scragging heavily off the ball, so many late bumps/holds ignored, whilst any kind of contact is being paid for North. We're also getting penalised for our body spoils - North significantly better marking in the hands, where we playing with a bar of soap.

Umpires are doing about as well as the camera-work.

Anytime the play settles we are so much better it's ridiculous, but North are far more physical around the contest. The longer the game goes on, the further we should run away from them.

It's just going to be a hard slog all game.
Agree. Will be a slog.
Had glimpses of increased intensity but can't help but feel some self preservation coupled with desperately trying not to get sucked into the dirty scragging.

The telecast of this game has been quite possibly the worst I've ever seen. We went from one stoppage to a different stoppage just focusing on Archer clutching his hamstring. Ridiculous.
Don't forget the bit earlier in the game were they completely lost the ball and we sat there for a while watching players looking at the play.

Eek out the margin every QTR we will still win this comfortably. Aot of our prime movers haven't done a whole lot as of yet. Once they do we will put a gap on them. Wardlaw and McKercher are holding us at bay ATM. Xerri and Meek nil all draw ATM.

I like our pressure, playing hard, contained but not over doing it. Ginnevan will be so important for us in the finals

Yeah the camera work is a joke.
At one stage the Melbourne based commentary team were waiting for the cameras to get on the guy with the ball.
“We found him”, joked Bucks.

Not the most attractive game.
North can’t take a trick though. Clarko will have his fist through the wall soon.

Hawks need to have a big win to strengthen finals chances. Anything less than 10 goals can be considered a loss. Not being arrogant but Carlton are a good chance against StK.

Ginnivan and Watson, so good that 1st quarter.

Wardlaw excellent for them.

And the camera work, wow, its like the director is distracted, on the phone to his girlfriend or whatever which is affecting the broadcast as the commentators forced to rely on the fixed overview camera view of the ground.

If I've said it once, I've said it a million times - Sicily is a freakish kick. The ball genuinely makes a different sound off the boot than it does from pretty much any other player I've seen outside Shannon Hurn.
