Anyone listening to the post match? Lyon, Brown, Lewis all clueless. Talking about will Murphy get his spot back? Will McStay get dropped after being quiet tonight? Browny was sure Murphy isn't needed and Lewis that McStay will be dropped, Lyon liked this one too. Garry also happily announcing that Howe is not a forward, just like he wasn’t at Melbourne. Tried it didn't work and will stay in defence. This may be the case now, but his performance up forward would not be the main reason, it would be mostly about fitting Cox in.

Not sure how much of us they watch, but absolutely no idea. Bucks the only one making any sense.

The Murphy comment was laughable 😂

A magnificent response in every way from our team and coaches.
Ferocious pressure, ball movement and energy in the first quarter won the game. Essendon provided minimal resistance, but enabled us to play back into elite mode.
The rest of the game consisted of a defensive mode, high enough to prevent Essendon from applying scoreboard pressure, but likewise not so high that we risked incurring injuries.
Professionally executed by the coaches, perfectly executed by the players.
This was no "dead rubber".
It was the opportunity for our team to recharge the engine, reset the pressure gauge, refresh the confidence levels.
JDG: He was brilliant tonight, and is primed for a massive finals series.
Cox: clunking brilliant marks at the end of the game, and throughout the game showed he is our ruckman.
Ginnivan: Xfactor plus. Will be integral throughout September.
McCreery, Moore, Murphy to return for the first final.

Midfield pressure and energy: on the way back up to where it needs to be.
Congratulations to the players, coaches, fitness staff.
We have established such an amazing launch pad for our finals campaign. Stars are the limit. Go Pies!!

Brad when he was told they don't have to play any more games this year.

He's a bit of a slug.

Hard to really find any negatives out of the game. Thought Ginnivan was playing a bit selfish in the first ten minutes, very hungry. But to his credit he turned that around and started putting team first.

He's in our bottom 3 of the 23 which will line up in the QF but hard to leave him out after that.

It’s great to get a big win and get some momentum going into the finals.I was very impressed with Degoey,Ginnivan, and Cox tonight.Cox showed that he is miles better as a ruckman than Cameron is,and he must take most of the centre bounces in the finals. We definitely seem to win more centre clearances when he is in the middle.

Lyon and Lewis hate us. Brown is thick. Buckley bleeds black and white.

Seriously mate get a grip.

Your team has had an outstanding season finishing on Top, smashed a team who had pride and redemption driving them but were nonetheless humbled.

And you think we can’t do any damage in Sept - then I suggest you apply for some annual leave and get out of Country.
I call it as I see it. Sorry to hold a differing opinion to yours. You can't honestly say our last 5 weeks of football has been convincing from a finals winning perspective. Like I said, the Home & Away is done now, finals is here. Let's see if the last 5 weeks form means something or have we been just playing out time. Nothing wrong with having concerns, those of us that take in the bigger picture can see the cracks that need a decent amount of polyfilla.

Ignore the motherhood statements, fair weather supporters and back slapers on this forum, we beat a very poor Essendon side missing some quality ( as were we ) Did what we did but gee still some worrying signs still, don’t believe in “we took our foot off the pedal crap” that’s child talk !

Onwards and upwards

Pre season Lewis said we wouldn’t make finals, we are Minor Premiers, lol. To make it even better he said Essendon would be in the 8, ha.

King and Buckley are the only ones who make sense, because they are former coaches. The rest just say stuff for attention because they have nothing to back up their statements.

Lyon doesn't want Howe playing forward against his dearly beloved May and Lever twin backs cos he knows he'll be uber competitive in locking down!

With our run and pressure, we put the Bombers to the sword in the first quarter, booting 8 goals and conceding none.

We then went into cruise control and kicked another 8 goals while only conceding 3 for the remainder of the game.

Playing 30 minutes and winning by 70pts - we’ll take that any day.

When Lewis was playing for Melbourne, he called Mason Cox a hack. Cox then proceeded to kick 5 on them.
