Really?? Would rather lose this one so we get 14th lol.. in saying that we should do them with their injury list. We're certainly value at $2.10 also cha ching.
Taking Carlscum out of the finals is almost worth being barred from the draft altogether.

IF…
Melbourne lose by 19
St Kilda win by 12
Gold Coast win by 46
THEN…
All 3 teams finish on 44 points with a percentage of exactly 100.
The afl would have a ten team
Finals series to milk it.
Then pay themselves each a $500k bonus.

Gold Coast
I know... was taking the piss out of the AFL's supposed fixture.

Geelong get an easy kill on their dungheap to close out the season. Nothing like a team that was looking borderline top 8 to get a percentage booster leading into September

Can't wait to see what FIXture the AFL gifts them next year after handing them the softest one possible this year to try and gift them finals.
Incredibly, I can't understand why there isn't more noise about the Gold Coast Suns and their pathetic season. Even after the AFL gave them the softest fixture in recent memory, and the overall talent on their list, they still couldn't make finals.

They are just a weak, soulless football club that stands for nothing and is irrelevant to most supporters across the country, but I guess the AFL needs to stick at it in rugby country.

As you said, they are just too irrelevant for any media to care. As annoying as it gets when the media put the spotlight on us, it’s at least nice to know we have some sort of relevance that they will bother to criticise us.

hawks smash norf and then norfs percent drops
if rich win they might jump norf on percent so richmond will lose to gold coast for sure to make sure of pick one seeing as they've had all the draftees play in the vfl for them

so we need GC to win well and us to sneak a small win so they jump us on percent
melb will lose to the pies hopefully

to be honest while denying the blues finals would be nice, the pick is more benefit to us and carlton will get assed in week one of finals with any luck...and get a shitier pick for beating us LOL

Wouldn't worry about it too much. We've got 5/6 or 6/7, slim chance of 7/8.. it's much for muchness really and the top end looks very even, smashing the Blues would be very sweet and worth dropping a place or two for in the draft.

Personally I reckon the Tigers will win.

Sure looks like Caminiti and Hill are out.

Bring Garcia into the 22 for Hill (Carlton aren't really an outside side anyway), not sure who in for Caminiti (Jack Hayes played at Sandy last week and we could do worse, also Keeler/Heath worth a shout?), and Seb as the sub if he has anything (Kosi farewell game vibe).

Random fact:

Our record since Hunter Clark returned to the senior team (round 13 vs West Coast) is 7-3.

Hunter averages 9.9 contested possessions a game with only Steele and Roma having more. Pretty decent impact for a bloke averaging 62% TOG.

Think he has played an underrated role in our midfields improvement in the second half of the year.

Just wish next season he can get fitter than ever and push his game time up to 70-80%

Getting his game time up is his key to going to the next level.

Agreed and it’s pretty frustrating. Can understand him struggling to build that physique, seems a naturally skinny type but after this many years in the system his endurance should be a lot better.

Phillipou probably back this week

Hayes was the best performer at VFL level by far out of the key forwards, just a question of whether he has the fitness or not. Ross has spoken strongly of giving the OOC guys to prove themselves before season's end

Also think there could be a surprise for a sub selection. Max Hall was great on the weekend and maybe we're keen to see him at AFL level especially since Sandy don't have a game this weekend. He'd make a good super-sub. Hastie also an option. Realistically its probably Dow or Paton:expressionless:

In: Hayes, Phillipou
Out: Caminiti, Hill

Sub: Dow

Jones and Wilson to play more wing. Garcia to take some of Dow's midfield mins and some of Wilson's fwd mins. Pou to take remaining Jones & Dow midfield minutes

I think if Hayes is getting another contract for next year he will play in place of Caminiti, if not they will give Keeler a game.
