I genuinely feel that the return of Harry to the 22 will have a bigger impact than most think. Watching us play for the last few weekends has proved that a lack of organisation is killing us more than anything else, and Harry is such an important player for us from a structure point of view. He understands the game, sets up others well and runs intelligently.

Bramble has to be dropped with Scrim and Harry back in, right? Those two take up the only positions he can play, and he's not much use anywhere else.
Would assume Harry > Bramble.

Who Scrimshaw replaces is less obvious.

This is why we need to take time to develop Weddle if we want him to be an actual wing. It's the hardest position to play in footy, requiring speed, endurance, skills, and positional awareness all maintaining and balancing against each other. Like it or not, Harry is one of the best at the positional parts of the wing and can run all day. Amon brings in the speed and sharp skills, he just needs a few rounds to feel out his teammates patterns and behaviours.

My years on the wing in country footy were the most exhausting, rewarding and challenging of my entire career. Some weeks you clean up. Others you're lucky to touch it 10 times but you've done more kilometres at pace than the previous week.

Very underrated position that is maligned unfairly and pigeonholed as a 'soft' role.

yeah and I'm not even convinced of this. Bramble is playing that Daicos/Sheezel role as distributor in the back-line, whereas I assume we want Harry to play wing. Although I'd prefer him playing that role over Bramble because he can actually defend. Actually, I'd love it if Ward played this role, but obviously we want him playing mid.

I think it's more likely Finn goes out, as he was playing as a weird back pocket/medium defender for lots of both R1 and R2, as well as on the wing.

Again, Scrim might come in for Bramble just because they're both defenders but I don't think they play the same role.

Wingard > Butler
Harry > Finn
Scrim > Bramble/CJ/Impey
Brockman > ???

With that injection of experience I think you can probably consider dropping Frost and replacing him with DGB. Might be another game or two before it happens though

Agreed.

We so clearly need a “vanilla” player who organises others and does the defensive things in the midfield.

I don’t care if he lacks “weapons”, he brings plenty to the table which is lacking.

In: Scrimshaw, Wingard, Morrison
Out: Nash, Maginness, Bramble

Nash has to be skating on think ice only the 8 pressure acts and only the one tackle, we need more pressure through the middle and he's just not getting it done.
Maginness if he tags LDU stays but if he's not tagging he doesn't offer much else.
Morrison and Scrimshaw to restructure out back end ball movement, allow CJ little more freedom as well.
Impey free to spend more time forward in a defensive role.

We've finally cracked it. Harry has elite brains, the most important weapon.

I'd play Nash and remind him of where Clarko wanted to play him.

3 good ins. Outside of Lewis, that's a full strength line up.

Despite the dreadful showing the first 2 weeks, and North's obvious improvement under Clarko, this is a very winnable game in Tassie against a mob that has finished 18th the last two seasons.

Tentatively looking forward to it. The Clarko stuff adds some theatre.

I'd keep Nash in the side. In the last half against Sydney he started to hurt people. This is good. We need an enforcer
in the side with so many youngsters. They will walk taller if Nash brings the pain to the opposition.
He needs to apply more pressure 16 for the entire year when eh should be getting 20+ a game.

Moore into the midfield and Brocky/Butler in.

I think CMAC might be in trouble this week. Brocky and Wingard pushing for selection
