My mum slowly lost interest in the club since my old man died but Saturday night was the first game she's watched in full since Roo's 300th. She loved seeing those players celebrated, sending me pictures of Lockett and Winmar together, Stewie Loewe talking with Spida.

She even taped it and watched the replay yesterday. Very unlike her but it made me proud to see her invested again and just shows how people will jump back on board when we play for the jumper and have a crack.

Collars for all games I reckon. I ordered a short and long sleeve. I've paid out the arse this year and not regretting any of it.

Can't have the logo that big every week but gee it looked brilliant. Our colours go with anything, in any design.

Don't think I've celebrated as hard as I did when Butler ran in and kicked that goal in the 3rd. Fist pumping and yelling like a nutter, thankfully drowned out by the other Saints supporters around us going as wild as we were.

Walking down Swan St after the game hearing the song sung by people from inside the pubs...festive atmosphere. That's what footy is about. We (supporters) can really turn it on when we want to.
