Fingers crossed on Wood's shoulder, he's so important to us

27 touches, 10 contested, 592 metres gained, 11 marks, 2 contested, 9 intercept possessions, 6 inside 50s, 7 score involvements, 2 goal assists
I remember he played a practice match last year and some of the comments that he was Wayne Carey like , well he is bringing it to game day - huge for us today / most impactful player today.
Big shout out to Wilkie down back - huge game.
We also have to mention Butler and Higgins - we needed goals and they delivered
Mitch Owens is going to be a super star - he will end up in the best 3 of that draft year.
All up another team effort.

This injury crisis is starting to feel like disguised blessing. Absolute crucible for culture building at the moment
Richmond won a flag in 2019 I believe where their whole team was injured they played new players blooded them and their good players came back for finals fresh and won with a couple inclusions from the unearthed gems.

I vaguely remember Brisbane doing that a couple of times during their threepeat?

By my count injury list will now be about 14?

Coffield
Jones
Steele
King
Billings
Hayes
Membrey
Webster
Allison
Wood
McKenzie
Hotton
Keeler
McLennan

10 of them in our best 25. How the hell are we unbeaten?!?
B: Webster - **** - McLennan
HB: Coffield - ***** - Hotton
C: Wood - ***** - McKenzie
HF: Billings - Membrey - Allison
F: Keeler - King - *****
Foll: Hayes - Jones - Steele
Jeeeeeesus…

Ross saying what I said about the older guys getting it done and how it is tough for the younger guys dealing with a big MCG crowd.

He mentioned Caminiti and Nas, I thought they handled it the best out of our younger guys, Caminiti was super important, what a great competitor.

The injuries are allowing players to show what they have and they are proving they most probably better than some of the more experienced players not playing.
Of course King , Steele and Membery are badly needed but guys like Jones , Billings , McKenzie will find it hard to get a run.

How nice was that win after we were seriously challenged. Showed we have a team playing with a lot belief and are a very well coached side. Looks like we might be without Wood and Webster next week, both big losses.

I loved RTB throwing Sinclair into the middle in the 3rd and Phillipou onto the ball in the last.

Wood, Wilkie, Marshall, Crouch, Byrnes, Ross, Higgins, Owens, Butler, Stocker all had huge games.

What a gutsy win. Wood would be an absolutely massive loss if he's out. We're genuinely running out of options. It's hard to justify Cordy staying in after a 1 disposal game as well. TBH I'd rather have Campbell in for some effective ruck support with the plan sub him off. Probably won't happen though.

Out: Webster, Wood
In: Paton, Bytel, Highmore (sub)

What a mighty win, up you ****in sainters!
Fought back hard.
So, so proud of this club and its people right now.

*Tiny dampener is that I reckon Wood (whos been near on our best this year) and Stocker (who's been a wonderful pick up) have done a shoulder and knee respectively. Wood looked really disheartened. Not to mention Webster.
Going to be very, very hard to cover these moving forward. Too many injuries now.*

But **** it. Enjoy the win everyone.
Bout to crack me thousandth can
