Had an awful feeling we weren't safe at 3/4 time.

Our game style is taxing and if you just examine last week we didn't do a hell of a lot for 2 quarters with 12 of our 15 goals coming in the 1st and 3rd quarters.

We simply don't have the legs to play the way we want for 4 quarters and the missed opportunities across the first 3 quarters cost us dearly in the end.

Missed chances early, strong tough football. Needed to put the brakes on in the fourth, the experienced heads failed to guide the young ones when the going got tough. Very good experience for the kids. Not unhappy with the performance, but it is one we should have won. Onwards and upwards.

Geelong's older bigger bodies and absolute desperation in 50/50 contests to get the ball moving in their direction was the difference.

We looked absolutely spent.
Panicked in multiple situations where there was more time.

Good signs but we better not give up too many 5 goal leads this year otherwise I'm going to go through alot of TV remotes.. I'm not made of money.

They lost this game in the first half, not the last quarter.

I saw that last quarter coming a mile away - they ran out of gas. The backline simply wasn't strong enough to contain Cameron/Hawkins.
I feel as though the backline could have contained them but the midfield let them down in the last. You’re right though we kicked ourselves out of it in the first half.

As I feared. Too short down back. You can’t carry a player like Madgen against better and taller sides because the entire defence is compromised by his presence. Everyone tries to compensate for him and it ruins the structure. Will Kelly should be playing until Roughead returns.

You also can’t kick that inaccurately for a half and expect to get away with it when the opposition can’t miss.

Still happy with the effort at least. Game plan is still solid. Just silly mistakes and bad kicking on the night

So dejected right now. The amount of free kicks that umpire let go in the last quarter allowed them to get a run on

A lot to like about the performance, but I feel like it was kind of taken out our hands in the last..even though we really should have put it to bed with missed chances.

Btw, it felt like Geelong never missed a decent chance at goal. So frustrating!

Dangerfield is the most protected player in the AFL. It's a joke.
De Goey literally laid a tackle that I was taught by every coach I had. But the little beta cuck umpire decides it was dangerous.

Honestly at this point I'm sick to death of umpires who have clearly never even played junior footy. It's honestly ****ed. How can you umpire a game you know NOTHING about?

I've never seen so many fumbles in the first three rounds of footy EVER!
When you factor in all the throws, you have a game that doesn't resemble football!

Felt like 2018 grand final.

No team throws away massive leads like us. Leaders need to take control and stop the oppositions momentum, they went MIA.
Collingwood DNA. No fairytales for this club and never will be.

Jeremy Cameron kicked 3 in the last quarter. What the fu**.

That’s why you spend the big bucks on a gun forward, instead of a ruckman…
