Durdin the turdin.

Durdin is going to be one of those players we trade out in 1-4 weeks, because a good looking fwd rookie pops up. We'll make just ~$60k from the trade (Xerri/Rachele/Brodie/Martin/JHayes will all still be mooing, so we can't cut them).

Then the week after we all trade him, he'll get 10 tackles, kick 4 goals, score 130 points and end up hitting $350k.

Did you trade last week?

Yes I traded Gawn > Witts & McGovern > Hall last week.
I'm still not sure what to do this week I still have Dusty on the bench as well.
You have the same problem as me we really need a mid/fwd on the midfield bench to make trades work properly this week.

I'm still not sure what to do this week I still have Dusty on the bench as well.
You have the same problem as me we really need a mid/fwd on the midfield bench to make trades work properly this week.

If I could trade Durdin to Brodie/Xerri/Rachele I would. That 20something hurts, won't make cash until that spike game. Can see him hovering around $200k for a while

I decided to be aggressive last week and went:

Crisp -> Hewett
Ridley -> Sicily
Owens -> Green.

It paid off points wise last week but the next few weeks will reveal if they were dumb trades. Getting rid of Crisp aint looking too smart.

I'm going to hold Whitfield and Gawn I think. I nailed most of the rookies.

Whether I trade this week depends on Dusty. If he doesn't play then my choices are:

Dusty -> Heeney

Or the more aggressive:

Dusty -> Brodie
Ward -> Cripps

I probably don't have the chol for the latter after using 3 trades last week. But man Cripps is looking good...

I think Ward's going to pump out a 100+ very soon. And I think Xerri will go 60-80 vs BigO and Fort this weekend.
Owens to DStephens makes more sense to me. Get rid of a dead rookie and get a wingman for just $50k.

I don’t have either McGovern or Berry for the record.
Berry has averaged 80+ 3 years in his career..
McGovern never been close to it!

Reckon the points gap between McGovern n butter will be higher than Berry n Cripps in a months time.

Owens to DStephens is the only trade I had pencilled in

Unfortunately I miss Xerri and Rachele, but as I said above, without trading one of my "premos", I can't do much else

Am I missing anything?

If I was to trade 1 or more of Ridley/Whitfield/Gawn types and dropped a trade boost, what would you guys do?

Yeah that's fine. Owens is a spud anyway, I don't think he'll play much. Jones, Billings and Clark to return soon.

I hear you re FOMO.

Major FOMO on Cripps and Stevens. Would love to bring Luke MacDonald in too.

Did trade in Heeney for Thomas this week though and punt Owens for Skinner.

I'm holding firm though and not going to **** my team structure purely on FOMO. It's a marathon not a sprint.

R3 team will be as below unless there is a major selection surprise.

Hope that Jackson continues his form.

Have toyed with Gawn to Jackson myself all week. Still sitting on the fence. Very much against popular consensus though.

I love JHF but I dont think you need him mate.
Any move other than Daicos to Horne would require 2 trades.
He is not worth that IMO.

Thanks. Didn't consider that one. Might hold for NOD next week though if he's named. DPP flexibility might be handy early.

I reckon the extra cash to allow an upgrade to Heeney in the forward line is worth the risk. His price will fall in the next few rounds, so hopefully by then I can reverse the trade and take Jackson out and bring Gawn back in. In know it seems like a waste of trades, but I think the Heeney opportunity before hs price starts to rise is worth it.
