No SDK, Hough or Dixon according to that report :(
SCers probably spend more time analysing teams than these journos.

-SDK is available. Just depends whether the Cats feel he's part of their best 22. We'll find out soon enough.
-Dixon will play if he's free to play after covid. Williams is out (with covid), so they need a 2nd ruck. Dixon is next in line.
-Hough no clue. If he plays, that's brilliant for this JS.

Ok guys how does this sound?
If I trade Whitfield > Bowey then next week if Ward spuds again but at least get maybe $30k price rise.
Trade Ward > Luke McDonald if he goes well again then wait till after round 6 McDonald should get DPP Def/Mid and swap McDonald back and trade Bowey to a fallen SP in the Midfield.
id use the cash elsewhere to be honest. ward will play and rise. may be a slow burner but could be another highmore/kosi. trade out at your risk. surely theres other areas of concern in your team. otherwise youre in a good position to just hold

$93 K in the bank.....and have
Bowey McCartin Gibcus SDK...D5-8
Rachele Hayes Martin Durdin....F5-8
Ward McDonald Hough Uwland M8-11

Do I need Dylan Stephens at the expense of Hough or Uwland?

Does anyone know if you have to play a certain amount of games as at the end of round six to be eligible for the dual position change?
Good question .....there'd be some criteria ...whether it's 100% of games, or 80% ???

Alright kents.... lets talk dollars and sense....

Pick the 3 best trade ins out of Bowey, Xerri, Brodie, Martin

Pick the 3 best trade outs out of Dixon, Durdin, Owens, Gibcus
Martin/Xerri/Brodie - in that order
Owens/Gibcus/Dixon - in that order

Can you imagine the outroar if you to have play the full six games and therefore Nic Martin does not get MID/FWD status at the time.

Think I've settled on:

Whitfield > Bowey
Soligo > Stephens
Dixon > Xerri

It effectively means I'm hedging my bets on Xerri and Bowey being able to rival Whitfield and Hayes for scoring over the next few weeks, and gives me all of the must-have cheapies (IMO) barring Caldwell.

$90k in the bank, which hopefully becomes ~$160k next week if NOD or some such emerges as a suitable downgrade option for Gibcus. Realistically 12 keepers with a maximum of 15 depending on how Rowell, Xerri, and Brodie go. Maximum cash generation secured to facilitate those upgrades.

Of those that need upgrading, Bowey, Blakey, and Berry should hopefully (eventually) be reasonably simple. And assuming the Gibcus downgrade pans out, I'll have a very nice headstart on the first upgrade with 31 trades remaining.

Or if someone like Xerri or McGovern is a COVID out at some stage
Now that would be pretty funny if Xerri was an out with COVID in the next 4 weeks.

It would stuff up all the teams getting rid of Gawn and playing Hayes at R2 hoping that Xerri gets the RUCK/FWD status after round 6.

I also sadistically kind of hope this happens given I didn't have the Chol to pull the trigger on it, and I've got Rachele and Martin on the bench to cover Xerri.

l think once Xerri loses form he might be replaced with CCJ so l'm taking a gamble and not picking him..
Looked like the Roos gave Xerri more than his normal quota of midfield time against the depleted Weagles. Goldstein was essentially given the day off and was parked forward for the most part. Will be interesting to see how Xerri goes this week against proper opposition and a legitimate ruckman.

Interesting thoughts, but IMO it would be ludicrous for the Roos to not back in Xerri. Goldy won't be around for much longer, and the ruck spot is probably the number one hole in their list once that happens.

It's a tough one though, because you wouldn't expect Goldy to be dropped, and they paid too much for CCJ to have him playing reserves all year.

The way I see this is

Neale vs Whitfield - Win
Bowey vs Rowell - Lose
Mountford vs McGuinness - Loss

l can see Xerri and CCJ alternating their time in the side this season and letting Goldy play the role of a forward only helping in the ruck when needed...l also wouldn't mind seeing Goldy as our ruck coach when he retires..

Makes sense. Xerri as number one and CCJ as number two long-term seems the obvious move. Would just think blooding Xerri would be the priority as IMO he's clearly the best option for the number one ruck spot moving forward.

I think I've pretty much locked in my trades now.

Whitfield > Bowey
Mead > Jason Hugle-Fagan
Baldwin > Xerri

Get that cash generation humming

How long does Xerri wait though? Saints are beckoning
Interesting. Not particularly relevant, but would that be the wisest move for the Saints? Hayes and Marshall seems like a reasonable long-term combo.
