Round 3 trades

For me, I'm just righting a few wrongs. Overall, I'm happy with my side but just made a bit of a blunder by not getting Hogan and Vandenberg originally. Traded out Patrick Cripps and Tom Lamb for AVB and Hogan, and will hold onto 70k for a rainy day. First upgrade will be to get another premium defender. Probably at the expense of KK.

I'd be a bit wary of trading in Adelaide premiums on the basis of two massive wins. Their scores are likely to be inflated. But if you're choosing between the two I'd prefer Dangerfield (just).

On the other hand, trades after round 2 are all about maximising income from rookie priced players and VanBerlo's predicted price rise is the 6th highest of all the rookie priced players. Who to trade out for him? IMO Cripps if he doesn't play, otherwise Miller.

Think I'll settle on Ablett > Sloane and Miller > Van Berlo.

Two solid trades I reckon.

That's a good team JM bit risky with no ruck cover but I'm in that boat too now. I'd lay off spending on your defence and try to get another mid premo ASAP or you'll be up against it soon.

I'd trade Cripps because I'm ranked pretty well, and want to move closer to the top. I feel like I need to be proactive here.

So, I'd be getting rid of Cripps because I want to shore up my backline. Hunt would let me get one rookie off the ground and Goodes doesn't look like he'll be making money anytime soon. Sinclair is much cheaper than Cripps, and he's playing.

The other option would be getting NVB in, but I feel like Hunts scoring is more valuable to me than NVBs scoring.

Your doing well. I'd be worried about bench cover so I'd do that trade for sure. Good luck for the rest of the season.

I figured if I was burning trades I want players in with the best BE. I pretty much nailed most rookies..... but getting someone for Cripps means you can get cash cow who moos 2 weeks earlier. Ie upgrade faster. Remembering it will be that extra week b4 his crap score drops off.

I'm approaching Goodes the same way....

Ablett to bonts and miller to nvb.

Leaves me with cripps and no hogan and goodes in the backline with 3 rookies playing down there as well.

My team is in a world of pain at the moment due to my premo mid selections and captain slections. Chose selwood, gaz, beams and griffin. Made beams capt this week and selwiod last week... Still don't have fyfe or pendles. Will wait for nvb to moo and then use the 240k i have at the moment to upgrade him to one of those 2. Backline still in trouble as well tho... fmscl

After some advice guys.

Don't have Hogan

Have Lonie - Lamb - Lambert/Krakouer (F/M)

Can do Krakouer --> Hogan. To generate some cash and also give my forward line another playing option to chose from for F5/6.



Is this a must do trade? Would be my 4th trade for the year. Im wary of burning too many as ran out of trades last year and slipped from top 3000 --> ~10000 over the last 2 rounds or so. Im also wary that Hogan has a tough run of games coming up and probably wont score more than 50's for the next month of so.

Any thoughts?

Really want bonts and doc. Should have started with them but didn't have the aggots.

Going to have to Sacrafise Luke Parker down to bonts, then sub him to a forward later. Also upgrade goodes to doc.

Pretty confident bonts and doc will be top 6 forward/def plus pisses goodes off who ruined my weekend and prevented a 2400+ score.

Not starting with ablett has paid off, but will be looking to bring him in in a month or so when he's forms back.

Seeing a lot of Ablett to Bontempelli.. I've got Ablett, I'm set on trading him, but not sure to who!
Was initially leaning towards Ablett - Sloane/Danger/Lewis for consistent premo output
But then there's the advantage of jumping off someone at their highest (GAJ) and getting on someone at their lowest (Bont)
What's people's thoughts, will Bont be a top 8-10 forward? I'd love to have him because, similar to Fyfe, I love watching him and barracking for him to do well

I have Cripps and Sheed with Cripps as my main worry so I may sideways him to NVB.

Missed out on Bonti but IDGAF as I have enough scoring potential up forward for now and I won't have enough if I trade Sheed and Cripps as I've gone guns and rookies only with Smith and TBC in the ruck, just hope Lamb gets another game soon. Took on Fyfe, Pendles, JPK and Gray as my super premos which looks a good choice atm (until one of them get injured of Fyfe suspended)

A lot of folks looking at NVB, I'm still not convinced personally. Never been a big scorer, and his scores thus far have come in huge Crow wins. Sure, he'll likely give you a good price rise this week, but no certainty to continue going forward.
If I was in the same situation as others, I would have no qualms about making the Ablett -> Bontempelli trade. You can move Bont forward through DPP at a later date. Bont is a gun. Tag doesn't seem to bother him at all. When you are laying 10 tackles a game, even if his production is quelled a little, chances are he still puts up a decent score, especially for a 422k (eventual) forward.

I'm the same. I can't think of anything I could do that isn't sideways or a rage trade on Swallow, Ibbotson who did OK this week anyway. I don't see the panic over Cripps, most likely scenario is that he plays this week in the role he did in NAB and gets 80+. I've never not traded the first two weeks. I'm itching I just can't find anything.

For me this week,
I'm pretty set on Goodes -> Oxley. Gives me about 130k to play with.
Unsure of what to do with the next move. Value opinions on the following options.
I could:
Option 1: Stand fast, pocket the $$$ for a rainy day
Option 2: Turn either Cripps/Sheed -> Wallis
Option 3: Lumumba/Newnes -> any premo defender

Option 1,2 or 3? What say you BF peeps?

I'm leaning towards Option 2 FWIW
