I was thinking of holding Cripps, but now that Krakouer has been named, I feel as though Van Berlo is the closest rookie priced player to being at a decent enough price to cash in and pick up Krakouer in a couple weeks time.
TBH I might skip Krak if he plays 3 in row. All rookies are good for mid and fwd and should moo well past that.

There will be others.

But dangerous imo, not sure krak will Bea must have at this stage. He looks a bit sub effected imo. Hope he's not 102k would be a lovely downgrade even if you have to get rid of another rookie early. We also have Freeman on the edge which is exciting.

I have a full team so just Swallow to VB. $300k in the bank. Yum! With any luck I can get two upgrades in 3 weeks time ;) but we know the SC Gods don't work that way...
Done similar. See VB as a short term solution. Doubt will be in team by r10 but ideally would have served his purpose

If you have an m6 to m8 of CEY, Vandenberg and Cripps you could even forego a Miller to NVB trade and keep the $100k for a proper upgrade in the coming weeks. If Cripps produces some of his pre-season form then that's three high scoring mid rookies starting for you plus keeping the $100k and a trade in hand.

You're making me rethink my trades. Again!

DEF: Burgoyne, McIntosh, Saad, Hodge, Oxley, Ibbotson. E: Goodes and Hamling
MID: Fyfe, Kennedy, Pendlebury, Neale, JSelwood, Ellis-Yolmen, Parker, Vandenberg E: Heeney, Miller and Cripps
RUCK: Goldstein, Jacobs E: Cox
FOR: Gray, Swan, Martin, Hogan, Clark, Lonie E: Saad, Krakour

I haven't used a trade yet, and with no injured players, I don't have anyway to generate any real cash.

I've been considering Goodes + Cripps to Hunt + Salem (via Krak DPP) but, now that they're both named, I'm not sure what to do.

Is there anything else that I should be considering? Something obvious that I'm missing?

I have $27,000 in the bank.

Should I hold off trading?

I'm assuming this must have already been discussed ad nauseam. My apologies, I will look back through the pages for people's thoughts. I don't want to stall the thread by raising old questions.

We haven't yet faced a good team, he may stay epic, or he may be exposed...

He is a fair way down the tag queue which will help him, I am reluctant to jump on board until we play the swans get measured against a better squad.

But NVB is going to make a lot more than the $100k your going to keep

I don't see a lot to be gained by that prospective trade.

I'd hold off

I would like to bring NVB in but it wont be in for Cripps, that will leave one of Anderson or Miller however I also don't want to pay a lot for a rookie correction. I'm also banking on Anderson coming good. NVB is good for a solid 80 to 85ppg though and if he produced that until the bye rounds he could be worth the initial outlay, but it's not ideal.

You do get more cash generated earlier on though. Adelaide have a good draw. So much going into this for me.

I have Anderson

You see him getting regular game time?

Cheers. I'm in a real quandary. I've never been this undecided before with sc.

I was only asking about him bc one of my decisions is to trade out Jong or Salem. I prefer to keep Jong, but the 90k less means I have to look at a sub 550k mid / forward. In the end I can't see too many of them matching sloane's output, but just wanted to do (as a good coach should say) my "due diligence".

Thanks for your input mate

How much more? If he averages 80 from here to the bye rounds (obviously this is interpolating 80s every week for him), he will be worth ~$386,000 by the end of round 10. That's $171k, minus the $100k outlay that's $71k and a trade. If he scores a lot more points than the midfield rookie he is replacing then that needs to be factored in but I don't think he will score substantially more than Vandenberg or CEY. If you're iffy on Cripps as an m6 then his points could come in very handy thus making him worthwhile otherwise it might be prudent to let him go.

This also assumes that Miller/Anderson begin to generate some cash too and do not remain low scorers.

Yeah have all three.
Mids are: Fyfe, JPK(R.I.P GAJ) Lewis, Watson, Griffen, Rich Heeney, CEY Bench of Vanders, Touk, Cripps.
Didn't trade last week. Gain NVB av92 rd3 inc of 70k and BE OF -59. Spend 100k to lose Touk BE 4 avg32 . Seems straight forward enough... The spend + the trade is whats got me in two minds. Lol bloody supercoach

Is R10 his bye? Either way he's an easy 200k so I'm glad I could fit him in but annoyed he tricked us in the nab!. If I ever pick Swallow again can someone punch me in the face. I'm sure toxic would be happy to help!

I'm a lover not a fighter..didn't last nite tell u anything
