Am I insane to trade Barlow > Papley and Rocky > Zaharakis?

Leaves me $660k in the tank....

I'd rather use the cash and get a premium mid who I know will sustain a high level of scoring.... Not zaharakis who has never been a premo scorer until the last 2 weeks.
Barlow to Papley is a good move for cash generation

I remember a few years ago all these people scrambling to get Birchall in as he scored back to back 130+ scores, he averaged something like 80 for the rest of the year. Not saying that this will happen to JJ but let's not go nuts in trying to get him in when rookies are the priority.

Hey TheOz, just read this and was wondering if I could grab your advice - I missed Libba, Kennedy and Papley, looking to trade out Rockliff and Gresham. Would you say Kennedy and Papley should be brought in based on this or is Libba proven enough to pick him instead? Thanks

Zaha has always been behind Watson, Stanton and Heppell. Funny what happens when your 3 highest possession getting MIDs suddenly aren't in your team, someone needs to stand up, ie. he and Zerrett.

The Bombers have played Melbourne and Goldcoast, Don't expct Zaha too get 34 disposals against the better teams. Bringing in any so called Bombers premos now is a major trap coming more into the season... Good luck with it though if you go down that road!

Im considering him too. Is the number one player at Essendon now and surely will be a massive ball magnet? He will drop off, but I don't see him dropping off that much where a Essendon player will then average more then him. I think he will average the most at Essendon this year.

Tom's last year was phenomenal after that initial time in the VFL. Averaged 108 minus 2 vest scores. Could go 115

I'm not sure if I can make a decision either way for you because it's a tough one however I think Libba is a proven premium but he has one thing going against him and that is he has come back from a very severe injury and a year out of football, usually it takes footballers a good year to get really back to their best. Having said that, I set for him an average of 105+ from 20 games to be a win at his price as an initial selection, the question is, does one burn a trade for that output? What do you suspect that he has to score for the rest of the season to justify a trade and what do you think he will score? I think he can go 108 to 112 which even for his price is great value. Are there any other premiums you would trade for Rocky instead and is the price difference between those prospective trade ins and Libba worth it? I am pretty adamant in getting correct rookies first but that isn't necessarily the right approach and the equation somewhat changes with injury. Do you think Rocky is a definite trade out or can you justify holding him for a couple of weeks? Which rookie do you forego, Kennedy or Papley? I think Kennedy has the potential to score more but the $80k difference is a consideration.

I have Kennedy but not Papley so my priority is Papley with a second trade up my sleeve for removing one of Rockliff or Barlow if I want to, however if there were two rookies I had missed out who were going to shoot up in price I would be inclined to correct to both of them first, the Rocky situation makes it a bit more difficult though as you could be bleeding points with an extra rookie on field and him on the bench.
