Keep all premos and mid price possible flops IMO.
Its r3 anyone we are considering a failure has played max 2 games.
Rookie corrections or nothing IMO.
I have Tom Rockcliff not sure he is even a flop
More disaster

^What ROO said
I don't think Taranto will be a keeper so I'd go down to Ryan and bank some coin for your first upgrade
I like option 2. But I still have bad memories of Fisher from last year lol
Dmac will be a crazy pod IMO.
All decent selections.
I went fisher
Is it sustainable though to average more disposals than Shiel, Kelly, and Ward? I'm not convinced.
Also, Clayton stepped up and was immediately Melbourne's #1 Mid, both from a stats and SC perspective. He pretty much had no competition, nobody stealing points.
Then consider that ZGL is injured, which will likely push Taranto forward given their lack of small forward options (esp. with Greene out), and also Hopper into the side for his first game. Hopper could take away his mid-time and send him forward.
Finally, they have played Bulldogs (90 point win) and Pies (unaccountable midfield) - with so many guns ahead of him I'm thinking he's a trap.
I don't disagree with any of what you are saying and there is definitely a lot of potential now with scully out. If you have a good feeling about it, back yourself. It's just not a pick for me based on the two game sample with much lesser opposition. I think there are options for cash generation now and making 'safer' trades later in the season. But that's just the way I like to play.
Probably not but he can still keep up a good score without doing that.
He was a #2 draft pick tho and averaged 27 touches in the TAC cup. Was also said to be a ready made player last year but got injured.
Hey all!
What's your thoughts on Josh Kelly? I know he's a gun and only getting better, but how is his season gonna compare to the likes of Dusty, Titch, Danger etc.
If you had to choose, would you bring in JKelly, Dusty or save coin and go Conigs?
I have dmac in rdt.Crazy as in good?
Both him and Fisher are playing forward, but both have racked up tackles so far....guess Fisher maybe better user since his SC scores far outweigh his DT scores and Dmac is quite opposite. So maybe Fisher more suited?
Probably.Will Cogs maintain his form?
Where do I sign?I reckon Taranto is a keeper.
Day off work so I have done some research. Here are my findings.
He very well could be this years Oliver.
Oliver was drafted #4 in 2015, Taranto #2 in 2016
Debut seasons
Oliver (2016) - 13 games, average 70
Taranto (2017) - 12 games, average 66
2nd season
Oliver (2017) - 22 games, average 111
Taranto (2018*) - 2 games*, average 106*
According to the AFL stats, after the first two rounds, Taranto is ELITE (top 10%) in the following categories:
- Clearances (both stoppage and centre bounce)
- Tackles
- Total disposals
- Kicks
- Handballs
- Inside 50's
- Effective disposals
- Effective kicks
- Contested possessions
- Uncontested possessions
Now I know that it is only over 2 rounds, so there is some risk.
But the Giants rate him highly, and he is playing predominantly in the midfield this year.
He's averaging more disposals (27.5) than Shiel, Kelly & Ward, and is 3rd behind only Whitfield and Coniglio.
Only Coniglio has had more contested possessions.
His efficiency is questioned, going at under 70%, but as he is a contested ball winner, and these kind of players tend to score less in this area.
Also hasn't had a shot on goal yet. This indicates that while he is not increasing his SC score this way, he is playing more midfield minutes, belying his FWD status.
Playing for the GWS also helps. Teams that win have more SC points to share, and GWS will win many games this year.
GWS also don't have anyone else to come in and take his spot (perhaps only Hopper), and with Scully missing, will have even more time in the guts.
In 2017, the 6th ranked FWD for the year on averages was Chad Wingard at 93 (excluded Townsend's 97.5 as he played only 2 games).
I think Taranto will go 95+ this year, with the potential to remain over 100.
22 games (if he stays fit) at 95 avg would have placed him 2nd in total points last year for a FWD, behind Lance Franklin.
He's locked in for me. A good POD at only $365k. Get him while he's cheap!
What should I do with this? I only have 83k so I cant go Naughton to Boner. The only good options for Zgl are garlett and waterman and neither seem that good. Maybe Brayshaw or LDU to Bonner? Or Hibberd to Bonner and pocket the cash for danger?View attachment 479563
About 1 in 5 Hibberd owners have had enough, as it currently stands... close to 10k with the axe! But what is weirder is that almost 2,000 people traded him in after his poor game in round 1.
Not trading a "keeper" after 2 games made me cry last season.Trading out keepers after 2 games will make you cry later.
If you are going to get Coniglio then this week is definitely the best week to grab him, doubt we will see him this cheap again!Need to get rid of Crouch...
Gonna hold onto Hibberd, see how he goes with Frost back and no Jayden Hunt.
Thinking about going either Crouch -> Oliver or Crouch -> Coniglio ... anyone got any advice? Kinda leaning towards Coniglio at this stage
I would hold crouch its only 3 weeks.Need to get rid of Crouch...

Oliver's ceiling looks a lot higher - should be a top 10 MID this year.
Coniglio looks a steal at his price. Should be good for 110+ this year.
Tough choice. Go for Oliver if you need to collect the best MIDS. Go for Conigs if you want to keep a cash reserve.
Also ask yourself - who do you want your final 8 MIDS to be? Do either of those fit into that picture?
This!! Everyone considering a non-rookie trade should be asking themselves this question, for every position.Oliver's ceiling looks a lot higher - should be a top 10 MID this year.
