not even o'briens biggest defenders could back him up today - INSIPID
As bad as O'brien was, he was better than Kosi was last week.

Don’t mean to speak badly about a club champion but we may already be there. Breust has been very, very average the last 4 games

To be fair though, part of his form slump can also be attributed to the low number of inside 50s per game as well as the style of play which isn’t helping him. Gunston and Breust benefit from quick forward 50 entries.

Hard to watch. Hard to digest. We're bottom 4. Only decision now is how many kids to we play and stay competitive. We can't cop 100 point beatings each week.

As shit as we were, we fought it out til the bitter end.

Mitchell unbelievable game.
CJ had 12 marks. What more do you want?
Hartley ain't great, but 25 touches was a fair return.
Chad 26 class touches. More please.
Lewis 8 marks. Great game.

Moore was outstanding. Give him an extension.

Impey tried his guts out. Same with Frost and BB.

We need a look at Jeka, and both TOB and Cegs need to go. Is it time for Reeves?

Worp is down on confidence.
Phillips is a butcher.

So many holes. Where do you start?

Does Champion Data have a stat ‘handball to a team-mates feet‘? We’d be leading that one.
Imagine how bad we’d be if they weren’t fully professional.
At present it‘s like watching us during the Crawshay years, total lack of basic skill level.
At least Geelong lost, after beating us that is a certainty.

Particularly when this revolting gameplan is continued by AC.
We have got to play kids. Find out about Conor, Jekka, Morris etc and take the f.....g game on.
Exactly, look at Swans and Port. They play their talented kids and it works. Yes they will be inconsistent but it’s the only way they improve.
Get Jeka in and have Morris at his feet zipping around. Downie on the wing creating plays with his penetrating kick.
Play Kosi at full back over Hartley and Hartigan. Give the supporters some hope.
Rant over.

Also don’t see why we made the old man the sub - long flight here and back on a cold, miserable day, when he could of been at home with his feet up on the lounge

To get to 400. Clarko guaranteed it last year as the reason they signed him. (Real reason he was supposed to be in the coaches box but Covid lowerered the numbers of coaches but they already had a contract as he was still a player and we are crap they could pay him this year to continue without it being out of the rules as a coach)

He only kicked 1 and that was only because he dropped a mark
Ah right. For some reason I thought he kicked a junk time goal in the last.
And yes, he was bailed out of his dropped sitter with a lucky free kick for a high tackle - brilliant.

At the risk of being stoned, I totally disagree with this comment.

Sorry to say, CJ is now believing his own press.
Watch the replay.
Every single time he got the ball, he stopped for a long time, did nothing, then eventually kicked a backwards up and under.

There was no devil-may-care dash and bravado. Just stop and look around for a long time.

He can do it.. And will get better... But today was certainly not a highlight.
I saw that too but completely thought it was COACHED stuff.
He has been told not to do what he did last week...so sad...

I’m sick of TOB being dropped and not doing enough at VFL level but almost always coming straight back into the side. Needs to doninate at VFL level before being brought back.

Hate the Ceglar/Big Boy combo, just isn’t working. Cousins and Nash must come in for extra run and energy, we where really flat at certain periods of the game which hurt us badly.

Hartley ain’t up to it. Kosi > O’Brien, more physical and more effective at ground level. Reeves needs to play a few games to see where he is st.
Obrien has never dominated the Vfl never yet he still got games when Roughead and gunston were firing. Lewis kicked 3 goals a week for a whole year and got 1 game and then dropped.

Then in 2019 it took forever for him to get in even though Roughead was cooked and Obrien was Obrien. Then kicked 20 goals in 12 games. Full season and he has 35-40 goals.

Then we get patton to delay Lewis development for some reason. At the time i said 2019 Lewis was better than Patton will ever be (due to injuries and already being slow as hell)

Jeka kicked more goals in last 2 weeks than Obrien can kick in a year.

Actually think we Lost this at the selection table.
Forward line still too tall and slow, bringing in Tim. O'brien too play beside Mitch Lewis( who I thought competed well) with a resting ruck is poor. Freo just ran ball out too easy.
Also Bolton needs to work on having a defensive mid at center bounces. Embarrassing how many times they ran out with no pressure what so ever. Lucky their skill was so poor or we would have been smashed by 10 goals. Was super proud of the way that Chad has applied himself. Tackling and chasing and applying pressure. Also special mention to Dylan Moore, from nearly delisted to going back with the flight to take contested mark.
He will be first picked this week just due to his courage.
Not gunna bad mouth anyone as we all know who should spend extended time at Box Hill.

Hartley took kickouts. That is like 18 kicks right there

I was just thinking that if someone came to me in January and asked if I'd take a Bombers come from behind win in Round 1, a combined loss of less than 6 goals to the two GF teams, and a 16pt loss to Freo at home, with no Day, Gunston, Downie, DGB or Sicily......I'd probably take it.
