He’s building. It won’t be long before he’s playing 85% TOG & getting 25+ disposals.19 possessions
10 contested
7 tackles
5 clearances
66% TOG
Who am l??
Scrappy do. A pretty easy question.19 possessions

Hanners?Two weeks.
He also marked kelly at a number of stoppages in 2nd halfGoing out on a limb here, but I reckon he was our best reader of the tap in our midfield last night. Won't go on his stats, but this went a long way in nullifying Nicnats and WC midfield coz he was able to get into the right spots to stop them braking away
Marshall ?Two weeks.
Any and all of them plugger66. Even Lethlean.Hanners?
He prefers forward.Battle was solid for us down back but needs to work on a few things.
Not surprising considering he would have trained with the forwards all pre season.
Looks like he just to get better positioning and body work. I'm sure that will come with time.
Not really a spot for him down there at the moment though which is why he ends up on the wing or down back.He prefers forward.
Also minus the self doubt that plagued Steele early days.Jack Bytel
Was a disposal, clearance, contested ball and tackling pig in the juniors and looks every bit like he could be that at AFL level as well.
Is a Steele clone minus the contested marking ability.
Was pleasantly surprised how well Carlisle did. That has to be one of the best defensive jobs done on Naitanui in recent years.I feel a little bit more comfortable knowing we have Carlisle to ruck. Far better than Hunter & Mckernan. Hopefully Ryder back
I only remember Jones doing one bad kick for the night (watching it both at the ground and the replay since) and his numbers would reflect that.It felt like chook lotto last night when a number of times Jones and Ross were handballing to each other on the back flank...
“Here you take the kick, otherwise I’m just going to turn it over or kick it out on the full.”
“Okay, hold my beer.”
Didn't realise how outside Kelly was until Bytel and Jones put the heat on him in the second half.He also marked kelly at a number of stoppages in 2nd half
I struggle to see how you can justify that when WC can play 3 or 4 talls with excellent results. Not really a spot for him down there at the moment though which is why he ends up on the wing or down back.
Bytel has the look of the next Jack Steele to me. I reckon he's best 22 now and should be in every week. I know some think that will make us over burdened with inside mids with Steele, Crouch and Ross but we just need to balance it up with enough outside run.Bytel a chance for the Rising star nom this week

I'm not part of the anti-Ross club but feel he's the one most likely to feel the heat from Bytel as the season progresses.
Well Ratten obviously doesn't agree as he never plays a full game forward.I struggle to see how you can justify that when WC can play 3 or 4 talls with excellent results.
3 quality talls is a dream this year. There is absolutely room for Batts.
Irrelevant.Well Ratten obviously doesn't agree as he never plays a full game forward.
We obviously prefer to have the 3 small forwards.
No it isn't.Irrelevant.
