I've told my missus the past two years that this is possible. Anyone can do it if they can be stuffed.
When I help my missus make her team I have to follow the following rules -
Team must contain Josh Bruce, Danger, Fyfe, Dusty and JRoo, never NRoo.
Every other player is a shit truck if they score less than 150 and must be traded.

Don't really know why the Def, Mid, Ruck & Fwd threads were locked

Those who started with Zach Williams will be feeling pretty good so far, started very well.

Yes it's only been 3 weeks, but I did a little comparison of average stats so far vs Shaw:

Williams: 23.3 disposals (8 contested), 4 marks, 4 tackles, 4.7 r50s, 3.7 i50s, 95 SC pts
Shaw: 18 disposals (4 contested), 5 marks, 3 tackles, 6.7 r50s, 0 i50s, 86.7 SC pts

Shaw could pump out a 150 this week and then he's averaging 100+, while Williams could score 60 and then he's averaging ~85, but early on, for $100k less, Williams looks like he'll be a solid ~95 averaging def premo

he didn't look great in rounds 1 and 2 before the punctured lung, but with a BE of 190 he could be ~$450k in a month or so
Saints won 7/10 post bye last season, if they start playing better and winning games, he'll score well (averaged a crazy 120 in wins last year)
Definitely on my radar, despite the fact that I started with him and I hate his guts
