I will cop a donut if Kosi doesn't play at D6. Even if I get a def premo like Bowes, Kosi would still be D6 because I would have to trade Fantasia/Clark (D4/D5) to Bowes. So the risk of copping a donut does not change.

If I just spend my bank now to get Bowes, I would have to wait another 2 weeks to make the cash to get Riddles/Lloyd. I only want to bring in someone who I know for sure will be a top 6 def and I'm just not sure about Bowes.
Then spend it elsewhere

Docherty looked better last week
Looked great in a commanding carlton win, can't expect that all the time. Doch is another solid option but just won't cut the mustard for me I'm afraid. Doch, Hurn, Bowes, Hous all in that second tier but I want to spend my hard earned on the big dogs. It's just too painful watching Riddles and Lloyd as a non-owner. Lloyd been merciful so far, hasn't punished me too hard but it's only a matter of time

Lloyd's ceiling is limited as long as Dawson is stealing a bunch of his kick outs. Without those Ridley is king gull this year. I am the same in that I don't have Ridley or Lloyd yet.

I will have enough $$ as soon as next week and I'll be going Ridley over LLoyd.

Yep agree.
If you don't have either Ridley or Lloyd, it's just too painful. If I had one of them, I would definitely be looking at that second tier (Hurn, Bowes, Doch, Hous) this week. But the priority is to get one of the gulls next week and I agree with you, Riddles looks a bit better so far this year.

I was at the game and he looks to be getting a bit of fitness and confidence back.
He was covering the ground so well and less fumbles!

I'm expecting a big year from Doch :D

I think too much value is going into getting the big top tier defenders. Like yes of course they’re arguably going to score more but if you spend your whole time waiting to pick up the big dogs you’re gonna do two things - burn more trades to facilitate the upgrade which will be a more lengthy process and miss out on value when it strikes you in the face.
The time to get Ridley was last week, if the planets align and he’s gettable at some stage later on then go for it but otherwise I’d be looking for value elsewhere. If you try and get all the top guys on each line you’ll run out of time to catch the leaders and run out of trades quick smart.

I honestly think if you have 6 of this group

Lloyd Laird Ridley Doc Houston Mills Whitfield Stewart May Short Howe Daniel Bowes

you’ll be fine.

The next tier belonging to Hurn, Lever, Luko etc.

Honestly, when was the last time ANY team in any format (DT, SC) etc finished with the top placed picks across all lines if not any? Would be slim I’d say.

After Rd6 last year Haynes was averaging 114 and was very much seen as one of the Top3 big dawg Defs at that time, very similar to how most perceive Ridley right now. Haynes ended up 10th for Def Total points and 14th for Def Average.

missed the boat on cox?

is chapman a must have rookie? have sharp and GC fyfe sitting on my bench making 0 money
Trade Sharp to Chapman, need one on the bench. Yes, Cox has sailed.

Caleb Graham picked for Suns and footage of him rucking at training.
Burgess buyers beware.

FMD how do you have the cash to make a fat upgrade from Hunter to Grundy.... and then another upgrade?
Upgraded Danger to Errol and already had 330k for fixing rucks which I'm about to do right now.

Let them waste their trades.

Didn't the Suns say they were planning to rotate the 3 of Burgess, Graham and Greenwood through the ruck already? I still think he'll get plenty of ruck minutes, he was named as the starting ruckman....
